Where are my Arcade shmup fans at?

Hello, RGT! First time posting despite being here for awhile. Does anyone know about some notable glitches in shmups?

That is Vapor Trail's "glitch shot".

Finally played a DoDonPachi (Ressurection for Steam) and gotta say: I get it now.

The only other Cave game I've played was ESP Ra. De. and enjoyed it plenty but DoDonPachis is something else.

The HYPER mechanic truly is hype. Half the time I didn't knew what the hell was going on but the other half was incredible

What can i say as a Gradius Fanboy ?
Im here and still waiting for fresh Gradius games .... im starving ..... ::lurking
At least there's Salamander III in the Origins collection.

It's funny how it took me diving into emulation in my teens/early 20s to get a taste for Shumps. Never really encountered them much growing up, but I absolutely flocked to them

Weirdly enough, one of my favorites is the NES port of the first Fantasy Zone (with Super Fantasy Zone taking second) (srsly though, the world needs more cute-em-ups)

Not really that good at bullet hells despite playing them over FBA fairly frequently. Kind of prefer old school style shmups

Absolutely recommend going through ShmupJunkie's channel, he is great! Very well researched videos with a great exciting and welcoming energy for veterans and newbies to the genre alike. Honestly I credit him with me getting back into this genre a few years ago, binged his whole channel.

Since we're already on talking about ShmupJunkie, he also finally premiered his giant years long project video, every Sega Saturn shmup reviewed:

Crimzon Clover?
one of the best modern bullet hell shmups, absolute gold standard game

Yo I had never heard of Daioh, but I must have it in my Mame, that looks cool so I'm gonna try it out.

Truxton 2 is one of the coolest looking Toaplan games, and Mushihimesama is a classic, I still need to get back trying to clear it in regular arcade difficulty.

Okay I asked around my shmup community and found out Daioh is pretty much a whole series unto itself! There's several other related games, that are pretty much sequels. Daioh is already cool and Shienryu is pretty much a direct sequel/remake. It eventually leads to Triggerheart Excelica, which just had a recent release.

I love the world of shmups where some random ass tiny indie studio that exists since 1993 somehow has published 20 games that are all niche cult classics among the already niche community... I feel a similar thing for the Zeal series, and of course Touhou
