Donkey Kong 64 View attachment 509
I genuinely dig DK64. Game rules. I actually had no idea people hated on it for the longest time. I've read why peeps find it problematic, I can respect that perspective, I just never experienced the same frustrations; they simply don't ring true for me.
I just found n64 collectathon games too long and repetitive as they were. I am not the biggest fan, but I do love the glitches people found for speedrunning the game. That is a super fun rabbit hole to get into. I will never say someone's opinion is wrong, because it is up to them to make their mind up. But, it just was not for most people. I think we all have that one game that everyone trashes but we love undeniably.
I've been staring at this thread (I do it with a lot of threads!!) since I got to these forums and I'm not really even sure now, there's so many choices people have named! Obviously there's more games that patrician types in more secluded imageboards , chats with ridiculously high standards and little discord cliques really love but when it comes down to it I think it's Pokémon Stadium because that's what I spent most of my time on. There are better games I know! But when I was younger that's what I really liked, and even now it's very relaxing.

I'm gonna be honest and say that the N64 feels dated compared to the PS1, I have a hard time playing some of those games because of framerate and control schemes. But my favorites have to be Majora's Mask, Conker, Banjo-Tooie, Doom 64, and Perfect Dark. Another one that isn't really my favorite but I still really like is South Park 64. That game has a lot of interesting tidbits about it and I don't think it's as terrible as everyone makes it out to be. I think it was just held back by being made during Season One and being on the consoles it was. Game only had like 8 months to cook.
Thanks for telling. On a side note I should do the TimeSplitter trilogy since the people behind were the same as Goldeneye (and Future Perfect was also more story centered).
I feel that Half-Life really changed how FPS were made.
Definitely not any of them worth full price on the remasters. wait for a sale.
the biggest problem with pokemon stadium 2 is that you are practically mandated to use a home raised and trained team of pokemon from the gameboy games. the rental mons are horribly unbalanced. first form mons have sweet and awesome moves, but barely any stats; fully evolved mons have the stats but terrible movesets. you can beat the entirety of the first game's gym leaders, elite four and mewtwo both rounds with just rentals. you need a walkthrough or player's guide with step by step instructions to make any progress in pkmn stadium 2.
this an old video, but it shows off what i'm talking about:
Have you guys n gals seen the dude that's beating every N64 game? Three years in and he's on like 180/395 or so. Wew.
Anyways, do ports count? I might have to say that Megaman 64 (aka Megaman Legends from PS1) is my favorite. I originally played it on 64 as a kid but as an adult when I've gone back to replay it it's always been on PS1.
