ocarina of time of course! i also used to love dk 64 although its been a while since i played.
Yeah, overall these for me ARE the N64 games. There are other I appreciated, like ofc Goldeneye, Doom 64, Mario Party 1 and 2 even if with their huge issues and others.
- Super Mario 64 (replayed on an actual N64 felt so much satisfying and fun to 100%)
- Banjo Kazooie (comes very very close to SM64 as you can expect)
- Super Smash Bros. (the best videogame cross-over of all time IMO)
- The Zelda duology (especially Majora's Mask, but ofc OoT comes very very close)
- Mario Party 3 (Waluigi, my beloved)
- Mario Kart 64 (although the jank and physics can make the game both hilarious and very frustrating at the same time. Also CPUs cheating on GP with an already unstable game is a pain in the ass. But god if I love everything else)
- Pokémon Stadium 2 (battles are awesome and full of personality unlike most of modern main Pokémon games, and the minigames are chef kisses)
I’m absolutely new to N64 console.
Which couch multiplayer games could you recommend?
Obvious choice would be Mario etc, ports from other systems like Worms. But maybe there’s some more?
Classic but solid list.Goldeneye 007
Super Mario 64
Starfox 64
Perfect Dark
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
Yeah sadly. I dunno why they couldn't have done a 2D one.And I wish there was a Castlevania game to put on this list but Legacy of Darkness and the original version of Castlevania 1999 were complete trash. I love Castlevania but the Nintendo 64 just didn't get job done with the Castlevania games.
Only Goldeneye supports 3 players (split screen versus mode) here. Am I right or not? Because they are listed as 4 players friendly for Switch, but I’m not sure about N64 actual roms.Goldeneye 007

This is promising, I’m into some hack-n-slash.Gauntlet Legends
