i think it was popular in my country, that is why i could play it. my father, who must have been in his 50s at the time, installed it for me.

i liked louis, bcz he had a second form
first form he had armor
second form he had a shirt, which made him more powerful
somehow

Oh yeah his armor if I remember right had him delayed damaged animation which meant you could react better.

And in his shirt form with the trident he could do wonders OP but usually unlocked at low health.

I think the only game I actually played when I was young was either Resident Evil 2 or Crash 2 for the PS1.

I remember playing sonic 2 on a video game parlor where you pay to play for 30 minutes, 1 hour when i was a little kid. I didn't know how to play, i was playing as tails in co op, and one thing i found memorable in this day is that i ended up pissing on the floor, but thankfully the owners didn't find out it was me lol. later on i played gun smoke on a nintendo clone called Turbo game, first game i owned.

My first console game was definitely Keystone Kapers, on a near perfect Atari 2600 knockoff. When it comes to PC, it was either The Sims, Diablo II or Worms Armageddon. Not sure.

My earliest gaming memory was using a step-stool to (barely) reach the controls to arcade Pac Man & Zaxxon at a local restaurant/bar (kids were allowed in bars in that state by law at the time as long as they didn't sit AT the bar... which happened all the time anyway).

I sucked at the games, but then again I was three-years-old.

Uniracers for SNES was the first video game I ever played

I don't really remember the first one, but I could think of a few contenders that it could have been. On PSX it could have been one of the first three Twisted Metal games, a Toy Story game or one of the Army Men games.

It could have also been a N64 game. When I was very young I had a N64, but I only have a vague memory of playing one of the games. All I remember about it was that I controlled a space ship like Star Fox and that the game had multiplayer on it. If I could remember what the game was that would be awesome, but unfortunately I've got nothing

It was something on the original GB probably ether Dexterity, Super RC Pro-Am, or Super Mario Land. Got my cousin's gameboy when I was very young with a handful of games.

For some reason I have really vivid memories of mine. Boulder Dash on the Commodore 64. My family had one well into the 90s and I'd have to ask my brother to set it up cause I was like 4 and obviously didn't know how to load a C64 game from floppy disk.

Love that game.

This is so hard to answer because it was a million years ago. I'd die to know what was the first game I played!...we'll never know the answer to that ?
I had a "famiclone" pretty early, so it was most likely Super Mario Bros. (this one..)

I also have vivid memories of playing these titles:
  • Adventure Island 1 and 2
  • Elevator Action
  • Road Fighter
  • City Connection
  • Super Mario Bros. 3
  • Monster in My Pocket
  • Dick Tracy
  • Mappy
  • Formula 1 Sensation

My niece on the other hand I can tell you exactly what was the first game she played.
She was born in 2020, at age 3 without knowing what a console was or how to work a stick she picked up my always dusty Wii U and got into Super Mario 3D world...

At first she tried to use it as a tablet (the only thing she knew) after explaining to her she was supposed to use physical controls she started trying to move the character, it took her weeks of every day practice but she can now play the game.
She also played Super Mario kart 8 and sometimes, she isn't even the last one...this is incredible to me. She has no concept of winning or losing, she would randomly stop racing to admire the cows crossing the streets or to say hi to the NPC mushrooms spectating on the side of the road.

She's now WAY into Yoshi Woolly World, she can actually finish levels and see secrets I don't even notice (remember she's 3 years old!) but she does get scared of enemies and hand over the console to me to take care of them, I explained to her they can't harm her but she's still not sure.

I'm convinced that by age 5 she would master any game I can throw at her (maybe I'm ruining her life idk lol)

What about you guys?
Megaman 2 and sonic 2 who introduced me in the Retro gaming

My mom told me the first game I played was Sonic the Hedgehog 2 on her Mega Drive but I can't particularly remember it myself, my earliest gaming memories I can actually recall are on the PS1 with Crash Bandicoot and Final Fantasy VII.

My journey started with Jungle Book on the GB around 95 or 96
I had no idea what I was doing nor what I was holding. I wish I kept that GB.

Mike Tyson Punch Out. I could beat the first dude but not the second. The third level was impossible. I still remember escaping my room late at night and trying to turn the TV on to play more. The TVs back then were huge and I had no idea how to make it work so I wandered the house until I got caught. Thats one of my earliest memories and to this day I still play video games late into the night

I grew up with my father's NES and Genesis, so it was likely something on one of those two systems. Out of what he owned, it could've been the Duck Hunt/Super Mario compilation cart, or Greatest Heavyweight Boxing.

I still have the games he gave to me!

That being said, most of my early gaming memories are from the DS, as well.

I actually remember quite well, i was about 6 or 7 years old and another kid from the family had a PS1 with the Aladin game and the sims 1. I remember thinking it was very funny to gather a bunch of sims in the pool and drown them, and preferred Aladin because i could hit stuff and jump around.

I think it was Pokémon Emerald for the GBA, my parents weren't super big into games so I had to beg them to get me a GBA because I saw my friends playing it.
