The first video game you remember playing?

Frogger on the Atari 2600, along with Pitfall and Enduro. Although I didn't quite like them, just played for a bit, died a lot and went on to play with my toys. I was just 4~5 back then, but when I saw the Master System running Alex Kidd and Sonic at a neighbor's house about a year later, I really got interested in videogames.

I don't know if its actually the first, but the first games I consciously remember playing was Pokemon Stadium and Super Mario 64 for the Nintendo 64.

I'm a lil' fuzz yon the very first game I played.
It was for sure something on the NES...
A toss-up between Batman, Dr. Mario, or Spy Hunter. Stuff my parents or cousins had.

On a relate note, I have clear, vivid memories of the first game I purchased with my own money:
Super Return of the Jedi.

Good times!
This was the first game I bought with my own money too - except I had the Gameboy version. It was a little silly, but my god, the shield generator level is a core memory!

The first game I can recall is Kingdom of Kroz - a super old PC game by Scott Miller

It has to be Pokémon Silver on a GBC my brother had. We also had a PS2 with some demo discs, but I'm pretty sure I didn't touch that one until I was a bit older.

It's either Centipede or Space Invaders on the original Atari 2600. I was around 5ish years old, and one of my relatives brought the old console over. They brought it to my dad for repairs and I vaguely remember him letting me play it. Also may have been Pong

This I remember well, it was Alex Kidd in Miracle World for the Master System. I bought the remake not too long ago but I haven't had the time to play it.

the first game I ever played was Warcraft 2 on a Compaq all in one pc with windows 95 on it. one of these

Super Mario bros and Bomberman on Famicom

I have some early memories of Wheel of Fortune on MS Dos, but I checked and Super Mario Bros. came out two years earlier so I suppose that one was the first.

I started very early, around age 3? Ive thought about this question many times before but i still dont have a definitive answer. However, I've narrowed it down yo two choices.

Back in the day we(my family) had an old windows 98 computer before upgrading to XP, and it was there in which my journey into gaming began. The first games ive ever played was either this Crayola Crayon 3D Activity Center, or a port of Sonic and Knuckles for PC

The first one was a light gun game in an arcade, my godfather work in one and sometimes my father go there to play pool, I don't remember what game was.

One of my earliest memories is of my dad handing me the controller to play Pitfall on the Atari 2600 and being stoked that I finally get to play instead of just watching.

Pong. In an ice cream store named Sundae, Sweet Sundae...I'll never forget the name of that store. Videogame that is.

But not the first arcade type game. I remember as a very young child seeing these shooting coin op operating machines where some toy like things would scroll at the back of an arcade machine like cab and you'd shoot it with something...light, pellets, air...it made a hitting sound...I'm not sure how it worked. No video though so it's not a videogame.

I had a famiclone too, i remember a game named Gryzor (contra with another name lol), good times...

Donkey Kong Country at my first school – I remember there was a fundraising event where you could play for 15 minutes, like an arcade.

Sonic 2 on my older brothers sega mega drive, I was 4.

Fell in love with the character and devoured the animated show and comics as I grew till I played adventure on the dreamcast which I also loved. I haven't really enjoyed Sonic games as much since adventure 2, save for mania and the day stages in unleashed.

Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt or Tetris. I know it was one of those carts, but I can't remember which one was my first.

My first console was in 1994, my nan got me a bundled Mega Drive 3 with Sonic the Hedgehog because I'd heard about it in school and was interested (according to my dad). I'm not sure if it was the first game I played because my memories of such a young age are quite hazy. I played the hell out of Sonic, though and it still consumes me. Even my main Splatoon OC is a Sonic aspie.

I can still remember the first Zelda for the Gameboy that was my first game and Super Mario Land 2 for the Gameboy.
