The 3x3 Thread

Ah, Kingdom Hearts 1. I was thinking about this one for mine too. I'm still stuck on 2 because I'm too stubborn to plug my PS5 back in but I don't think the rest of the series will hit that vibe. I enjoyed COM and 2 so far but they haven't hit like 1 did, one of the best Action RPG's I've played.
Yeah 1 has a special place in my heart since it was my first PS2 game. 2 is a much more interesting game mechanically, but I’m one of those who preferred the wonder and whimsy of the crossover aspect of KH, and I’m kind of bummed they moved further and further away from that.
It’s also like the one series I feel I ”grew out” of. At least a bit, even if I got back into it a little from everyone hyping the 3rd game. My brother worships them so I’ve stayed in the loop thanks to him.

But I don’t lament it, 1 is magical and you can play it without worrying about the sequels (it’s almost self-contained in a way).

Here is mine

San Andreas, Alpha Protocol, New Vegas, Deadly Premonition, Test Drive... A fantastic selection all around and a great surprise to see Black among them. I never understood the story, but it always felt like it was the least important aspect of the game.

The game was meant to be chaos lol, even shooting the wall is fun in that game

The graphics and sound are very impressive, I dare to say Black is one of the best looking PS2 games ever, the gameplay is solid too, the only drawback to me personally is how spongy the enemies are.

i think I got the wrong idea

Wohoa, game boy color DQ3 good choice

It's really something how a handheld port has so much more stuff and more complex graphics than the og PLUS animated battles
Haha 3x3 Eyes. One of he first game in every NES ROM collection!

GBC DQ3 was my first foray into JRPG and I was hooked. At one point I was playing that game with the GameBoy connected to a power outlet because I couldn't ask for more AA batteries lol
The SNES version is better I think, but the GBC port has some bonus content. Personally that's not very important to me because I consider that it's added after the fact and the original team didn't intend it as part of their vision.

My Top 25 games! They're more or less in order (left to right, top to bottom) though only the top 5 is set in stone. The rest could typically move up or down a slot depending on recency bias or what side of the bed I woke up on that day. I did set an arbitrary limit of one game per franchise here, otherwise FF7, MGS2 and Kingdom Hearts 1 would also potentially make appearances.

My top 100, coming in hot! There's a 100% chance I missed something and an equal chance that I'll regret a decision I made, but overall this feels right. One game per series (I did cheat a little) and I picked out games that I've beaten and/or know very well. Also, assume all the DLC and/or special editions for the games too. There were tons of games that I love but don't feel like I know them well enough or haven't beaten them yet, as well as some that were not considered because they were too flawed of a gem. Some didn't make it because I haven't played them in so long that I didn't feel right to include them.

Not in any order, but what I remember really liking
Yo! I knew you liked Fire Emblem, but Zombies Ate My Neighbors, Nioh 2, and World of Horror? Nice taste, man! Plus Dark Souls 3 and the Dark Alliance games, digging it!

Yeah I loved SNES Zombies Ate My Neighbors, as for the soulslikes I like them but I'm not good at them ::cirnoshrug

Funny thing was that World of Horror was a gift for me this year and I really liked it

There's so many games I could've added, but wanted to strip it down to a top 12. So here it is, a 4x4!

I bought World of Horror a while back, but it sat in my Steam library for some time. I ended up getting really hooked once I finally got to it.

Wish it got more updates, but whats there isn't bad at all

As for the Dark Alliance games, I played those before I was aware of the crpgs :loldog

I did not realize they deleted their account.
I really liked this user.
Hope they’re ok.
I assume folks are just more self-conscious about their data and such nowadays; or at least, I understand the urge to "wipe the slate" when I go.

I’m oxymoronic. So I’d say I both agree with this and I’d still not go along with it, because I always think I’ll be *overquoted terminator 2 line.*

I really should check the pushsquare forums again. A lot of my acquaintances there seemed worried about my well-being and I told them I’d be back after a four-month break and I haven’t kept my word yet.
And I haven’t checked on my intro thread in gbatemp for months. I wonder if they don’t mind necrobumping your own threads.

No More Heroes and Nier are always good to see! Total Overdose and Sleeping Dogs are some damn good picks too!
Yeah Total overdose and No more heroes have basically the same vibe and I love them ,Nier is one of the few games where I just stand there saying "Absolute Cinema"
