This was incredibly fun to make. The thought of playing any of these again gives me a warm fuzzy feeling. Yes, even Pajama Sam. RIP humongous entertainment

They're so good I could play them all again right now. Just did a full shining force series playthough the end of last year. Hoping SEGA shows some love to shining force and phantasy star. Xenogears is stuck where it is, sadlyReally happy to see Shining Force and Xenogears and Phantasy Star 4 on your list. Golden Sun is definitely a standout, too.
Yeah. I doubt we'll see Shining Force 4, but they should at least release 3 complete for the wider public sometime. I'm actually starting a new playthrough of 3 right now, starting battle 3 (every time I tried to play through this in the past something happened and I ended up stopping, let's see if I'll manage this time). They're so good I could play them all again right now. possibly this thread? https://retrogametalk.com/threads/my-favorite-games-my-recommendations-in-no-particular-order.791/There’s a thread for this but it’s been inactive for months.
Last year was actually my first time playing all 3 scenarios with imports. Definitely recommend going all the way through! The payoff is incredible.Yeah. As for Xengears... gee, don't even get me started. It was my "second love" RPG after I finished FF7. My joy, and later my disappointment were hard to even define. It's the only Xeno game I like and that's never going to change (or should I say Xange).
Virtual On and Garou? you have definite gems there. Also love KoF2k2UM being there.
Mind sharing the name of that app? It's a bit confusing for me to use this one, so I made one with another app
Some solid choices here. I liked Mafia 2, I just wish both games made better use of the huge open worlds they have (Ideally it'd be a different way than slapping another 100 collectibles). This was incredibly fun to make. There was only one mention of 3x3 on the whole post, I guess that's why I overlooked it. Well again, it's up to the staff to decide if we can have a second one or not.
Agreed, and good point. Was mainly answering Pornstar’s question. (Which tbf, was because I was being a nerd)Honestly, the active posters from that older thread have mostly already commented here anyways, so I wouldn't worry about it.
Bioware was brave back then and set the story thousands of years before the movies, with zero returning characters. The game is structured exactly like Mass Effect 1, just much smaller due to being a console generation earlier. I don't even like Star Wars all that much. KOTOR is just that good!I've noticed that both KOTOR games get a lot of praise online when it comes to RPGs and that has caught my attention more than once, but the fact that the game takes place in the world of Star Wars is what has ultimately kept me away from them. I've never cared about Star Wars, do I need to know anything about it to enjoy the game? Or is it a stand-alone experience? For example, does the game feature its own independent story, or will it assume I already know the basics about the story and characters from the films?
How is Seaman not in the top 3?no real order but the top 3 are some of my all timers

Sorry for replying so late, my mobile data got fucked by something (Umobile stuff)Mind sharing the name of that app?
Do it, what's stopping you?Problem is I could Easily make a top 100
Okay, so for what I understand I don't need to know anything about the SW universe to get into the games. What about essentials, both games are 20+ years old, do they require patches, mods or anything of the sort? Thanks a lot! It's called Inshot, quite easy to use and not complicated
You're welcomeThanks a lot!
KOTOR plays fine on steam vanilla but in 4:3. With a little bit of work you can mod widescreen and graphics mods if you desire. You can also play or emulate the switch port and that is widescreen with HD graphics by default.Okay, so for what I understand I don't need to know anything about the SW universe to get into the games. You gotta try out KOTOR. I always say that I like the extended universe stuff more than the main movies. KOTOR is one of the best Star Wars stories I think. You only need base level understanding of Star Wars since KOTOR takes place years and years before the main movies, back when the original Jedi were still alive and operating.Mind sharing the name of that app?

Getting those 1,000 miles for the trophy was painful as hell.

KOTOR 1 has a mod I always use that adds some of the more polished cut content back into the game, but you don't need much for that, a widescreen patch exists but is weird to set up. KOTOR 2 has the cut content patch that restores the last half of the game that Obsidian never finished. Like the other guy said though it's easier to install since it's on the steam workshop. KOTOR 2 also has the same weird widescreen patch.Do it, what's stopping you?
