I've barely seen episodes of SG-1 but the 10 seasons are worrying me...

I do want to watch it just for Corin Nemec (aka Parker Lewis).
oh no its good.. ive got every season on dvd.. yeah it can be wonky sometimes.. its a tv series.. but the good episodes are GREAT.. I used to vhs record every new episode back in the day.. but yeah I kinda stopped caring around Stargate Atlantis season 2 and certainly anything after.. yeah actually the Corin Nemec eps are great.. he was kinda set up to fail, trying to replace Daniel that everyone had already loved for years.. but I still love my Jonas Quinn

My Fair Lady

This film is marvellous and eloquent as every single decibel uttered and vowel sang. This is one of the most beautiful movies I have ever watched in my entire life. A musical has just taken one of my top 5's in the most incredible films I have ever watched.
By Jove, this film is the pure breath of heart and happiness.

Professor Henry Higgins, portrayed by Rex Harrison has captured my heart and thrown away the lock and keys. Every line he spoke was tugging away at my heartstrings. I found myself falling completely in love with him. If a man like him ever existed, that's where my heart wants to lay.

I sang along to the musical pieces as if I were in the film as they progressed in real time. I loved every single character as every single one of their lines conveyed a beautiful message in the tones of their voice.

My Fair Lady taught me the strength and beauty of phonetics.

Two weeks ago we finally saw Scary Movie 6, some good jokes there and there, but it still not as great as the first two, a good free time movie regardless

Mary Poppins
1963

What an absurdly beautiful movie! I've never seen such whimsy and joy, alongside heartily laughter for a film quite like this!
I was smiling ever so jubiliantly at these scenes, and laughing ever so cheerily alongside the beautiful and wondrous scenes of Mary Poppins.

I do not personally believe the musical pieces are the best of the bunch in the musicals I've seen. Singin' in the Rain, The Pirate and most especially My Fair Lady's got it beat. But I really did quite grow to love the chimney song alongside the kite at the end. Such a beautiful sendoff to a magical film.

Filled with such delight and wonderous cheer.

Watched some chill oldies from my backlog.
The Dragon Ring (1994)

Great Teacher Onizuka (1999)

The Argentinian film that got 5 stars from me instantly, The Secret In Their Eyes.

Oh man oh my wowee what a film. A guy who works in law retells a crime from his past, and the perspective moves to and from the past. Simply amazing.

Remembered watching Creep (2014 a long time ago but not finishing it. Now rewatching it today.

Ok just finished watching it and It was pretty unnerving honestly. Tbh the first time I saw it, it was pretty boring that I stopped at the near beginning but after finishing it, I wasn't ready for the home invasion in the second half.

Stare Wtf GIF

Recommend the first 4 police academy films if you want a good comedy.

Goldfinger
1964
A pretty forgettable Bond film. Fancy Bond one-liners and does what Bond does best with no interesting locations.
Goldfinger 1.jpg

Seriously incredible shot at the start of the film though. And fantastic opening credits scrawl, probably the best in the series so far.

Fun fact, the bit where
Bond says Goldfinger would never be able to steal all the gold from Fort Knox and Goldfinger says his plan isn't to steal it
was made for the movie. In the book
Goldfinger's plan is to loot Fort Knox.

I still think this one is when the franchise finally started to get really good and I always liked when James followed the antagonist of the movie closely unlike only meeting him in the last act.

They did the same with License to Kill later.

That's pretty awesome for the movie adaptation to be honest. I really liked the twist
of Goldfinger's motives because it includes the complete anarchy of America's economy and a genius plan to make his own gold sell for more. Looting Knox is ambitous but it's not everyday someone thinks of contaminating every single piece of money inside, causing god knows what amounts of anarchy, and using that to your own ends.

I preferred the suspense of not meeting Dr. No until the final act, I just didn't like how suspended this is in the overarching Bond story that From Russia with Love begins to start up. Otherwise these feel like cheesy spy flicks that don't go much places.
I liked the setup with how the sister wanted to get revenge for the other one dying from suffocation after being covered in gold, but they quickly dropped that plot for some reason.
