Series You Tried but Just Couldn’t Get Into

That would be Ninja Blade, Devil's Third (I am aware Itagaki made that one), and Wanted: Dead. Greek Era GoW started as a Devil May Cry clone. Get it right, ya silly.

I already gave him the lecture hours ago, but more hands are appreciated here.
I'll give you the "kratos is insufferable", you're right, but God of War being a Ninja Gaiden copie? Really? ::huhsonic

Well, I hope we could see what's the "logic" behind it ::sailor-embarrassed
Other than both games being a year apart from each other, and copying DMC1 in some aspects, both go in their own directions. Which is ironic, because Itagaki/Team Ninja/KT and Itsuno/Capcom has no problem taking certain elements from God of War I or GoW II during the HD era. Ryu's heavy attack finishers in NG II (2008) are pretty much glorified button prompts without the prompt appearing on the screen, and the certain large sized bosses with unique finishers based off whatever weapon Ryu is holding. Seriously, more large enemies or mini bosses showed up in that would not look too out of place in God of War due to the spectacle and scale. Ninja Gaiden 3 took it to a much worse extreme, and had to dial it back by a lot in 3RE, but some left over elements still show up or are much more simplified.

Devil May Cry 4's Nero has invisible action commands and finishers to tied to his Devil Buster. Which has its own dedicated button for grabbing, and can be used for hidden parries/counters/tossing attacks right back at the enemy.

Nope, I played Devil May Cry and GoW a few years after playing Ninja Gaiden Black, so for me Ninja Gaiden will always be the original.

Doesn't work like that when DMC1 came out first, and the 3D Ninja Gaiden came out afterwards. like I said, both copy d m c one and certain aspects, but go on their own directions. You're just ignoring reality for your own pathetic convenience. Fine that you like NG more, but that is not the issue.

If it wasn't for DMC1, you wouldn't have NG back in the first place.

I like Atelier but I don't like playing Atelier? I like the games themselves but I've never been a big fan of games with "generic jrpg"-esque combat in them if you want me to be honest. The furthest I ever got was halfway through Lydie and Suelle a couple years back, and then I just kinda dropped it; To be honest I probably wont pick it up again.

I definitely get this sentiment. I do enjoy the Atelier games but there does come a point where I just get sick of doing alchemy and wish the game would end. I literally just finished the first Ryza game this week and was all but bashing my head on the desk wishing it would roll credits. It's a great game, but that loop just gets to me eventually.

-Kingdom Hearts
-Dynasty Warriors (besides 1997 game)
-Jak and Daxter
-Super Smash Bros.
-PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale
-Gran Turismo
-Pokémon (besides 1996 game)
-Ratchet & Clank
-Mega Man Battle Network
-Mega Man Zero

When it comes to Super Mario Bros. I'm not into the 3D open-world style game that originated from Super Mario 64; Sunshine, Galaxy 1 & 2, Odyssey and 3D All-Stars for example. I did enjoy Super Mario 3D World and New Super Mario Bros. spin-off series though.

Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest are two series I fell off from playing, besides finishing a few games in the series I have no interest in completing the rest. I plan to getting into Metal Gear Solid series soon.

I can tell that you are a bit "slow" and that you also lack reading comprehension, so I will repeat myself:

"I played Devil May Cry and GoW a few years after playing Ninja Gaiden Black, so for me Ninja Gaiden will always be the original".

Do you get it now or should I draw you a picture?.

Final fantasy tactics never really clicked for me. The game felt slow. Strangely i had no problem with a similiar game Tactics Ogre.
Man, I have a similar feel, like, I really like play Tactics ogre, but I think Final Fantasy is so hard, and frustrating, any mistake can make you lose all your troops, my friend say, "dude, your just need farm JP, and promote them, it make easy" but how if they keeping dying in mid farming, you try to use Phoenix down but he always keeping getting knock out. I really trying hard to like this game, because the story appears to be so amazing.

And you're full of shit, and loving ignoring actual reality for your own warped view of reality. Is that hard for you to understand, or should I "slow it down" for ya?

Please explain to me why I am full of shit?, and try to do it in a way that doesn't make you sound unhinged, LOL.

Alright, I'm gonna call an end to this arguing now please. Before it spirals further 🙏

You are going to have to do something about BrawlMan, he attacks everyone with a different opinion and then throws a tantrum when the other person fights back. People like him diminish the quality of this forum.

I really could not get into any realistic sports games at all. I only played them some of time, because my big bro played. I highly preferred arcade style sports games, and even my brother doesn't care much for most realistic sports games anymore.

Breath of Fire, tried the first two in their "Definitive Edition" patches, still felt like slogs, 2 is the worst, the "Fast" Text is barely faster than normal, and no, mashing A is not a timesaver here

The games also seems to have real confusing event flags, in 1 there is this this drought afflicted city where you need to talk to some chiefs in a certain order, had i haven't used a guide, i would be stuck for a while there, let's not talk of how to get the good endings

I Love Capcom, but RPG is not their forte
