Cartoons Cartoon Trope you are surprised it is canon to reality?

Cartoons, part of their fun is seeing impossible stuff happen onscreen, but sometimes, something happens that not only is plausible in reality, but maybe has happened to you too, which is your experience?

The "Wool Sweater of hell", any time i saw a character recieve one for any holiday or gift and saw the characters react as if it was made of glass shards, i dismissed it at the character being an ingrate for a homemade gift, until i turned ten and recieved one... wearing it in christmas night made me uncorfortable, turns out while obviously exagerated, if wool is not treated carefully, wool can be an itchy cage of itchiness

Although not literally, there is a certain "truth" to the old Looney Tunes trope of how a character will run straight off of a cliff, but not fall until after they look down. Obviously it doesn't happen when gravity is involved, but there are times when an adrenaline dump will allow you ignore some serious damage, that is... until you look at it..
