So, just for clarity, it's the brazilian translation that's bad and not the english one? Or is it both?
The brazilian translation is the worst one AFAIK. The english one has punctuation's errors like shown below. ;)
Do you happen to have a screenshot of the dumb localization? I love reading all the different ways people find to butcher games.
It's better to show the written words, be aware this is just an example of the many errors that can be found. ;)
English Translation:
"Love is sometimes cruel, Marfa, goddess of creation...
We are unable to live without love,*yet are continually confused by it."
Bad Brazilian Translation:
"… O amor às vezes é algo tão cruel, não é, deusa-mãe Marfa?
Então não podemos viver sem amor, mas é por culpa dele que continuamos a nos perder?"
Translation of What is Written Above:
"... The love is sometimes something so cruel, isnt it, mother-goddess Marfa?
So we cant live without love, but it's its fault that we keep losing ourselves?"
Correct Translation:
"O amor as vezes é cruel, Marfa, deusa da criação.
Nós somos incapazes de viver sem amor, ainda assim*somos continuamente confundidos por ele."
The english translation has several problems too like the non-sensical use of ... in A LOT of phrases where the 3 dots werent needed which i fixed in the brazilian translation. The errors were everywhere, in the story's description, dialogues, descriptions of weapons/armors/acessories/skills, etc.
