Gaming Confessions

I don't really like to finish games, and I don't like to think of having "a backlog". I just play whatever I feel like whenever I feel like it, which naturally makes it take forever to finish shit because my favourite genre are long ass RPGs.

Haha I confess that I have to feel pretty invested in a game to finish it. In my experience, one's number of finished games is always an inverse in relation to number of games possessed.

Here's a confession for you guys:
Imagine as a teen, selling a 20+ DS game collection which included all the Castlevanias, TWEWY, FF games, Hourglass Zelda, Animal Crossing, M.Prime Hunters, odd games like Hotel Dusk & Lost in Blue, Mario Hoops, good ol' Clubhouse games, & then some weird like Master of Ilusion & many more.

All for a Wii starter kit of Brawl, Okami, Metroid Trilogy & Nights Journey of Dreams (!?).

I don't know where the scales are tipping on this one.

& also, apparently, DS games were cheap & my parents had excellent taste.

- I’m so bad at rhythm games(I’m desperately trying to get better and I think I might be maybe?) tried to play Rhythm Heaven on the ds. I legitimately could only get past the first level, had to go to the cafe to progress every time.

- I have a huge issue with finishing games, getting better with this too. I tend to hyper fixate on one game for weeks get quite far in it, loss interest, go do the same with a different game, then when my interest lands on the same game again I’ll restart it because I feel like I’ve been away so long.

- Like in real life I also tend to get comical lost in video games as well.

I have gotten to over 40+ hours in save files before restarting them too, I’ll be extremely precise with that I want and waste a lot of time with that. I have a problem ::nuts

Sega CD wasn't the worst thing ever. It didn't pan out but it was an interesting device. The 32X was a dud through and through though. WTF was Sega thinking?

Theres plenty of good games on the mega cd to make it a better console than the WiiU, and I've heard it did decent enough for what it was in japan, it even had a karaoke model

I think this idea it was horrendous comes from people taking avgn too seriously and not trying it out for themselves

I can think of at least 4 more: Vette, Toyota Celica GT Rally, Viper Racing and F355 Challenge. There are probably more out there.

Also, all those Sega CD greats and no Snatcher? For shame.

When moving houses a few years ago, I fucking LOST my copy of Twilight Princess HD, and now it's like $200. I know the guy who lives there now, but I have no idea of its fate. GRANTED, I do still have the Midna figure HAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.

I was too much of a pussy to play horror games until 16

Confession, it's really hard for me to finish RPGs even tho they're my favorite genre of game. Mainly being a grown ass adult with responsibilities, jobs, kids, it makes it really hard to play games in general. I've grown attached the very linear experiences in recent years. Last game I actually beat was Ratchet and Clank A Rift in Time. Before that it was resident evil village. I did recently beat Spiderman on ps5, which I feel like I was able to do cause the side content is exactly too difficult and mainly was able to focus on the story, and even though it has RPG elements and has an open world, action games like that have a sneaky way on just making you focus on story.

Another one for me is I never beat Skyrim. I had 150 hours in the 360 version of the game. Never made it past the Grey Beards part of the game. Went and seen them, got my first shout. Then fucked around for 150 hours. I've never seen the ending, not sure if I want to either.

Very first Fallout game I ever beat was 4. Lost my job and spent damn near 300 hours playing the game. I'm also in that boat that New vegas is better than 3.

Assassins Creed, only ever almost completed 2 and every other game has been boring to me. It's a sin cause everyone loves assassins creed lmfao.

I hate Assassin's Creed

To me, Assassin's Creed will always be the series that killed Prince of Persia. There is one game in the series I like and that's Black Flag. They really got naval combat right in that one. Don't particularly care about other aspects of the game, especially all the Ubisoftisms of open world design.

You're legit the first person other than me that I've heard have that opinion. I've had mofos try to convince me to like it.

Tomorrow I will write an article about how much I hate it, thanks for the inspiration

Who the fuck loves Desmond, has anyone ever cosplayed him?

TBH, I wish Skull and Bones ended up actually good, cause the idea was literally supposed to be the navel combat from black flag

I Liked the first one. it was a neat game, but after the first one. it was meh and never took interest in the Series after.

And from the look of the new one... Ubisoft is more or less dead anyhow.
Yeah set a AC game.. in Japan.. and have the MC Not be a Damn Ninja? TF Ubisoft?
Japan Apparently is Non to happy about Ubi's choice of MC as well with Shadows...
Assassin's Creed was Made for a Ninja type Character
Assassin's Creed - Shadows?
no

My sin occurs in October 2022, my big bro come to my room with two neat stuff, a TV codifier and a XBOX OG,, the XBOX was "Preservation Friendly" and came with Castlevania Lament Of Innocence, however something didn't rang at the time, the controller's shape aged bad in my book (It was the Duke controller), maybe it was the fact i saw it as redundant since i already emulated the game it had in common with PS2, maybe it was because i have cats and Rowdy pets + heavy console= Disaster...

My choice was made, i unpluged the beast, curled the cables, lifted it and gave it back, he obviously was mad, but eventually understood and let it go

Happy ending for the XBOX, my sister is overboard, so in that year's Chrismas she got it as a gift, she now has something to do in off-days and is happy with it

I must apologize to my favorite console, I had a fat PS2, beautiful thing, but I had a scratched disc. I had glasses and thought, hey my eyeglass cleaner cleans my glasses good why not use that? The lens was destroyed reading that. My mom was kind enough to give me her skinny one a few months later after her brother tried and failed to fix the fat PS2 and now I'm super paranoid to make sure any cleaning cloth is brand new and doesn't have any cleaning fluid on it.

Yeah how the hell do you Not play as an assassin in assassins creed??

It Has been fun to see the series crumble under its pc bullshit and how ubisoft sneakily tried to re-marked the game in japan to save face. There's type of games where the fun is derived from watching them fail haha

Though that one's hardly a hot take

Another confession...I got all the way the ending of red dead redeption and didnt bother finishing it
I had to tame 20 horses and I hate when open world games make you do Chores
