Gaming Confessions

By mistake I ended up spoiling the story of the 2 greatest games I played WarCraft 3 and silent hill I learned my lesson to never google anything ANYTHING regarding the game im playing currently you hear me ? ANYTHING Luckily my third greatest game (ff7) didn't get the same treatment.

I once took over the save of my sibling in hitman contracts made them start over again when I was at the hotel mission.

I decided to play canned bread my life never been the same since.

I got one sin (that i remember) and i think, one confession.

Sin(ister ¿?):

I couldn't beat the last Ni No Kuni Boss, so i had to lower the difficulty from normal to easy T-T (motherfukr)

Confessions:

I really felt "excited" playing as Kratos in God Of War games, because of the sex minigame. I let those ladies satisfied enough so many times...

Here are my video games sins confessions:

- I used to spend lots of time at smartphone games and greedy pay2win games like Pokemon Shuffle instead of playing actual games at PC, consoles and emulators. I've never spent a single penny on them (although I nearly did with Puzzle&Dragons and Pokemon Shuffle) but still.

- I used to defend this piece of shit named Pokemon GO just because moral panic idiots that were getting mad with this game just because it was popular.

Correct. If memory serves, Nintendo shimmied out of the deal with Sony (which would have given us the Nintendo Playstation, I guess, a CD addon for the SNES), and tried to work something out with Philips instead. I figured they saw the junk the thing was and decided to lease out some IPs for Philips just so it felt like the deal didn't fall through completely.

Sony was none too happy, took the protoype, beefed it up, and Nintendo helped create the console that would destroy most of theirs going forward. Hurray for corporate smarts!
Actually Nintendo cancelled their deal with Sony because of Sony demanding too much control over games developed for the SNES cd addon for a console that didn't even belong to Sony.

I button mash fighting games because I'm too dumb to learn combos.

Are those custom box arts? I swear these had different ones.

Like a Dragon Gaiden was the game to make me break down. Not like shed a tear or anything, I had to genuinely pause the game to cry for like 10 minutes. I've never had a piece of media make me bawl that way. Probably never will again. That's a good ass game.

I've only beaten....four of the Legend of Zelda games, but I've played most of them. Botw 1 for example only kept me interested for about twenty minutes.

Meanwhile, a gacha game held my interest for years....keep rolling rolling rolling rolling....

Ahem

Yeah. Guess those count as gaming sins.

My biggest gaming regret/mistake was losing probably over $1000 worth of games thanks to my mom's ex-boyfriend.

When we moved I put a box of games into his storage building and when I finally went to get them out, I found out he hadn't been paying the bill on it and owed about $300 or so on it to regain access. I offered to pay it but they refused to let me pay it off for them and about a month later the storage company auctioned everything off.

I can't remember all of the games I had but they were mostly GameCube and Genesis games and maybe a few NES and SNES games. Off the top of my head I remember I had Chibi-Robo, Wind Waker, Starfox Adventures, Lost Kingdoms II, Splatterhouse 3, Ristar, Sonic 1-3, and a bunch of other genesis games I can't remember but they were all complete in box.

I guess this more a traditional confession of envy? I get jealous when I see a youtube gamer display shelf set up. After losing my homes as a kid I've always had to downsize with every move and thus had to get rid of original cases and add my games to cd wallets and books. Even now the habit is so ingrained that I could lose everything at any moment that I still put discs in wallets, only if I plan to resell do they still have cases to add market value. The cases I've managed to keep are my treasures and I envy those that make my hoard a poultry sum.

I beat Final Fantasy 6 and Final Fantasy 7 twice each but I can't stand the sight of JRPGs nowadays.

My backlog is immense, and I probably won't finish most of those games ever. I'm not sure if I'm sad or glad, but I stopped caring about said backlog a long time ago.

I pre-ordered Marvel vs Capcom Infinite. While I still think that the gameplay of the game is actually quite fun, I was hoping that Capcom would support the game like they had done for Street Fighter V, even with the obvious problems of MVCI's presentation, roster, load times, and story.

That unfortunately never happened. Even now, there's still a part of me that feels burned by that release, and the constant comparisons to Dragon Ball FighterZ made me resent that game's success for much of its life.

One that I regret is playing my my gameboy-ish console while it's charging 😔 it broke the battery and i never got it renewed
(I never know the name of the model or console since I was a kid back then)

I'm sorry you had to go through this. It must have been devastating.

Confess your own gaming sins, mistakes, or regrets that you made. It could be something small or big, there's nothing to be ashamed of.

I'll start with my own confession, I pre-ordered Cyberpunk 2077.
First time i played final fantasy 2 (4), i paused the game and touched myself inappropriately when i fought this boss:
