Sega CD wasn't the worst thing ever. It didn't pan out but it was an interesting device. The 32X was a dud through and through though. WTF was Sega thinking?I actually believed the Sega CD and 32X were good things to have.

I think after Cyberpunk, I completely written off preorders for good. Good lesson on that part. How many times do we have to teach you this lesson, old man? NO PREORDERS!
I'll grant that the Sega CD had some good games, but it was a crazy ask, still.Sega CD wasn't the worst thing ever. It didn't pan out but it was an interesting device. The 32X was a dud through and through though. WTF was Sega thinking?
I'm guilty of this as well, at least if the character creator is better than the game haha.in most games with character creators i spend more time creating a character than playing the game
The quick answer is... it wasn't. Trying to tap onto too many markets at once is foolish. The SNES was fine later in life and didn't need a mushroom of doom mounted on top of it to push good games.
Yeah I really don't understand this line of thinking? People do say that the Genesis was the best console Sega had sold, so they did this to increase it's sales and it's life span... While Nintendo went ahead and made the N64. Sega really should have put it all on the Saturn, hell it could have even sold more than the N64 and went toe to toe with Playstation, can you imagine a world where Sega and Sony where rivals? The quick answer is... it wasn't. I could understand the 32X being an idea if there were no plans for something like the Saturn, but, of course, that wasn't the case. My take is that R&D, developer hours and money that should have gone to the Saturn exclusively ended up split for the sake of a device that was doomed to fail from the start.
That would have been a very interesting timeline. Mind you, every console manufacturer under the sun made useless add-ons/consoles, but when a company damages their brand identity and the good faith of the consumer as much as Sega had at that point, it's difficult to recover.Yeah I really don't understand this line of thinking? For example, the Virtual Boy was a massive, laughable failure, but Nintendo had a big cushion of consumer trust to fall back on (and they didn't put all their chips on that abomination), so they could recover from this debacle. In Sega's case, people were already pretty wary, because the Sega CD had a terrible public image (in part with good reason), since it was an expensive device and most games barely tapped onto the power it truly brought to the table.
Then came the 32X and... would you look at that?! it's an expensive device and most games barely tapped on the power it brought to the table! that meant that the Saturn already started on the back foot.
Edit: by extension, this created an ominous air for the Dreamcast as well, even though the DC was absolutely a step on the right direction.
Most truths are relative, but the 32X being a bad idea is an absolute one.
Look what I found, still a banger after all these years.
The worst sin each of us has committed was getting into the hobby. The Original Sin if you will.nevermind me, you guys are true sinners, messengers from hell.
the Triforce of EVIL!!!!
They just couldn't resist Kuja's appeal, huh? You sure they were straight?I tried to beat Final Fantasy IX with two different exs; each time I wanted to rest before fighting Kuja (as in, rest in real life) and each went ahead and beat the game without me.![]()
I guess each occurrence was because they were just that excited about Final Fantasy IX, lmao. They just couldn't resist Kuja's appeal, huh? You sure they were straight?

I guess we all fall to the allure of newness and being on the bleeding edge. I don't want to tell you how you should feel, but IMO, it's a normal thing. My true gaming sin is paying a scalper's cost for a PS5. I'm upset at myself for many reasons. And the worst part? I've never beaten a PS5 game on it or played one more than a few hours. Dx I've used it almost exclusively for PS4 games. I really REALLY should have waited until the PS5 shortage was over. I was a fool.
Noooo, i don't care to much for the games bit the magazines, so hard find some on good condiciónI sold some stuff too cheap. Sometimes it was a big minimalist kick I was on, later on it was to pay some bills.
Panzer Dragoon Saga and Dragon Force to a guy for $140 shipped.
Ninja Five-O complete that I bought new, in a lot with a bunch of boxed GBA games for $40.
Magic Knight Rayearth at cost ($50).
A Sakura Spring Japanese PS2 with two IIDX controllers and like six beatmanias, a pop'n music controller and four pop'n music games including an LE of 10 that came with a controller, for $400 shipped.
I forget what else because I think my memory blocked it out, maybe I have a list somewhere.
During the minimalist period I also threw out a bookshelf's worth of magazines had probably the first 60 issues of Nintendo Power, the first Gamepro, a ton of EGMs from that early 90s period where they had 400-page issues, and complete runs of a bunch of smaller magazines that only lasted a handful of issues. All because I was too lazy to ship them to someone. So dumb!
