It would be awesome to have you, RB!I'll consider it. I have to wonder if I'd even be able to pass for someone else, though.
I love the new avatar! It would be awesome to have you, RB!
Okay, i join i guessThat's the idea, yeah.
I have a question, we have to post with our alts?... Around 1000 people joined since this post went live O.O!
Better start picking names, everyone xD
So how it's going to work?
Users would guess who is an alt of who?
If so, how the guess is verified, and is there a limit on the number of guesses?
How about this?We can brainstorm it.
Yes.I have a question, we have to post with our alts?
On a introduction post? Or anyelse?Yes.
Anywhere you can!On a introduction post? Or anyelse?
No idea, but if they do I don't believe it's that much of an issue... Sam may be the only moderator participating (maybe we'll end up with more) and all the mods around here are trustworthy enough. It's not like you accidentally glance at an IP address and instantly know who someone is. You'd have to intentionally cross reference IP addresses to discover someone's real account vs. their alt.Moderators have access to ip adresses though, don't they? That might complicate things a bit.
We do, but there's no cross-referencing tool.Moderators have access to ip adresses though, don't they? That might complicate things a bit.
Okay, good, that makes things significantly easier then to have somebody kind of on the outside. That way player tracking can be done much better.(I, of course, plan to be completely transparent about my own account in the competition).

That's interesting — how would that be?Can non participant also join to guess without participating in the masquerade? If so maybe I can join as just the "spotter" instead.
At some point, we'll have to do this as well. It's somewhat common, "Anonymafia" is what I've usually heard it called although I've never actually gotten to play it myself. Also "masquerade" makes me think of vampire, I imagine the peoples disguising is a vampire trying to expose each other to eliminate rivals, and a "spotter" is a detective trying to expose them all.
I never play something like this so I don't really know. And thinking about it I start to see problem with that idea, participant can be eliminated but non participant cannot be.That's interesting — how would that be?
For me sounds to make upAlso "masquerade" makes me think of vampire, I imagine the peoples disguising is a vampire trying to expose each other to eliminate rivals, and a "spotter" is a detective trying to expose them all.
Though I'm still not familiar with anyone yet so I doubt I can guess who is who![]()
I appreciated you suggesting it anyway ^^I never play something like this so I don't really know. And thinking about it I start to see problem with that idea, participant can be eliminated but non participant cannot be.
