Exceptions to the Rule

I'm not very big on beat-em-ups, or at least, I didn't think they were very fun a while ago. Undercover Cops and Fight'n Rage are absolutely exceptions, and I've become more open to them as a result I think.

So it was SMT Wikia that confused me, because it states what I had said previously.
To be fair, SMT is like ALL over the place with how many spin offs there are. Plus some of the main line ones don't even link up too I believe. It's basically a Zelda timeline situation where there isn't really a Timeline but Nintendo tries to somewhat force a timeline on it if that makes sense.

If it's because of hot women...
Calling me out right now, but seriously, I just like beat-em-ups when there's ways to break repetition, or just plain great controls. Fight'n Rage is the most tightly controlled beat-em-up I've ever played.

I remember Final Fight 3 had some alternate stages, but you had to guess how to get to them because it wasn't intuitive 🤭 For example, breaking a bus stop sign by throwing someone onto it or being thrown onto it.
