Which games made you realize there's hope in a genre you hate?
I personally dislike FPS games because the most popular examples have elements that don't appeal to me (be it linear corridors or unintuitive puzzles).
One day I found this gem for sale on the PSN and that's when I discovered what I was missing: sandbox and side quests.
I still avoid FPS games today, but the feeling that genre isn't entirely bad has stayed with me.
