You did unearth an emotional old memory of mine. i heard that track; the first time, at a toys r us in '95 i think. I was playing dkc with my little sister on their display snes while my dad shopped for my cousin's birthday (so i was on there a good hour almost). we had an nes and a genesis at the time so i only ever played super nintendo at my friend's or on display consoles ( which were everywhere that sold or rented games, i first played super mario world at a grocery store when i was 5, crazy stuff)

But the weirdest memory i have from this track is that after he found us in the back of the electronics section my dad surprised my sister and I with "zombies ate my neighbors" for making us wait so long.... i remember being immediately disapointed by "zombies" cover art... HAH. I guess hearing this song reminds me of the time I got "Zombies at my neighbors" for genesis . so random, thanks for the memory. I think dkc is great and I love zombies ate my neighbors (especially the genesis version). games with co-op were uncommon back in the day

I need to see what your favourite soundtrack from any game you got that just makes you go bonkers. The wilder it is the better imo!
I'll start with the Skytown theme of Metroid Prime 3. Such a beautiful song that evokes so many feelings for me, of a lost civilisation, lost to time, high in the skies of a gas giant, with clouds adorning the view from under.

The winter theme in harvest moon friends of minreal town (it's really calming like i know at this time i need to take it easy)

and that's excactly what i do after each optimized run in which i would have fully upgraded my farm having the maximum amount of livestock. And a lot of money to spend it'll always a song i whistle or hum everytime i feel like everything is fine.
