Emotional video game music

I guess i'll go with obsure tracks this time instead of falcom stuff.

Harvestella - Phantasmagoria
Can't explain this one without massive spoilers for the game, only that it's a dungeon theme.

For a game with almost no story, this track is quite emotional, especially considering how good it is.
Vampire Survivors - Extinguished Flame

This one is a simple town theme, but obviously a emotional one or it wouldn't be here.
Ar Tonelico - City in the Sky

This is also a town, but it's obvious from the sound how much emotion goes into it hinting at the tone of the game and story.
Summoner - Lenele Marketplace

My final one for this post is from Alundra, anyone who's played alundra knows just how dark the game is, which is surprising considering it's a game more or less copying 2d zelda, but because of that there's tons of emotional tracks, that said this specific track sticks out for me.
Alundra - The Shrine in the Lake

I don't really know why, but there was always something about the title screen songs for Fate/EXTRA CCC and Fate/Extella that made me feel emotional.

Stuff that hits ye in the feels. Maybe even *sniff* makes ye tear up a bit.

For me, Ashes of Dreams honestly hits pretty hard. First time you beat the game, it gets ye right in the gut.
After like, the fourth time listening to the song however, it sort of loses it's luster.....
Great song none the less.

Silent Hill 2 Promise - James Ending

Well Iykyk, thats the only thing i can say to preface this lmaoo

I don't want to spoil the "fun" to anyone who hasn't played the game

This track, it was playing when you selected the game in the ps3 menu:
Tales of Graces f - which also got a remaster for pc ;D

I'm a huge FF fan so I'm glad to see pretty much everyone in this thread also loves the soundtracks.
As far as emotional music goes, I think Never Forget from Halo 3 is up there for me. I played the game a lot when I was younger, and it represents the end of that saga in the series for me.

I also absolutely adore Armored Core, and this song from For Answer is so representative of the gen 4 feel and look, it's just so beautiful.

Silent Hill 3 means a lot to me and I love the entire OST, but this song really rips hard.

I've been obsessed with this game and this OST for a long time, it's sorta like a spiritual thing at this point, it always makes me so nostalgic

It's the kind of game I replay every 5 years (like Cave Story) but that I fondly remember despite how short it is.

I've downloaded the game to keep it forever.

PS: It's probably me and my obsession with towers but they almost always have rad musics (between Spirit Tracks, Ys I and Origin and this game).

I played The Last Story from start to finish only once, but the soundtrack is killer. Thanks Nobuo.
Dude I HAVE to get around to that game sometime soon! Years ago I even commited to getting the super expensive Limited Edition which is now just sitting on my shelf. I OWE it to myself to get that shit rolling!!

It makes me feel some melancholy.

Ruins of Sadness from Klonoa 2, and maybe the entire ost while we’re at it.

Songs are woven into the story far more naturally in it, embodying its impressionistic core. While the original is all about the eventual abscence of dreaming, or escapism, Klonoa 2 is focused more on the aspect of unity and embracing the past we have through confrontation and understanding, whether scary or not and you can really hear that in the tracks.

Not from a game, but the theme that plays after Gohan dies in Trunk's Timeline.

Could keep going but I don't wanna make the list too long...
