in my opinion a good relationship requires mutual trust and faithfulness.

I can agree that when there are more than two individuals in the mix there's a higher risk of deceiving from one or another but I assume that trust and faithfulness can apply there.

I've been cheated on multiple times so at this point it feels inevitable in modern relationships, we are so so disposable than ever before. Does not mean I forgive them? No.

Not only is morally WRONG...
but breaking the trust and loyalty of the one who would want you to be happy more than anything in the world...
betraying the one person who understands you in such a beautiful and deep way, the one who open their heart and soul to you...
...destroying something as beautiful and difficult to find as love...

Love is such a beautiful and precious thing in this world, that just destroying for a fleeting moment of pleasure... just thinking about it makes me sick.
People who cheat on their partners don't know what love is, and/or how important and just how magical it is.
And if they don't care for love, then they're basically not human for me anymore.

...I'm so sorry for everyone who lived through that. I truly feel like everyone deserves to find love, or at least have a truly happy life.
...but for all of those who've destroyed it, see you in hell. Cheaters are such assholes.


edit: think I got a little bit too edgy, but I truly despise the idea of cheating. Cause like, love is such a beautiful thing, that just treating it like nothing just because "oo, I'm too horny but I don't want to tell my partner" is just... such BS.
Like, what the hell do you think you're doing? Does your partner really mean nothing to you? Are you so stupid that love for you is just a word?
*Sigh*. I'm just trying to put myself on the shoes of both parties, and I truly CANNOT understand why would someone not just, talk things. We are all adults, we can talk things out and communicate our feelings, especially if it's with the one we love.

I have a genuine question, tho. Should we as a community consider these kind of threads as an adjacent to mental health and crisis posts? I don't think it was intended by the OP, but people do get heavily emotional discussing these matters for obvious reasons and the forums are not equipped to provide adequate support.

Hard to tell to be honest. The thread hasn't led to any obvious oversharing that would indicate that posters are in the middle of a crisis that would necessitate professional help. I think threads like this will have to be judged on a case by case basis.

If you think about it, there is absolutely no valid reason to keep going. The better choice is to move on and find something better. Some people are afraid they will not find that, which is why they do everything they can to stay and fix it. But it will never be the same.

I can't say I've ever been cheated on (or in a proper relationship with anyone). But if my partner cheated on me I would probably let them know how much I feel hurt by it then leave for good.

For me personally, a breach of loyalty in any capacity is the gravest sin a person can do, heaps above murder.
Once the line is crossed, there is no forgiveness, as forgiving means you are defying your own principle. I'm bringing out the big gun for cheaters.

I dunno man my eyes are slippery and can't keep them on one girl at a time even if i have a girl in mind and been talking to her just hard to stay loyal these days
