The boss of Final Dreadnought Part 1 in Freedom Planet is totally Seven Force.I'm not sure if it counts as a recurring pattern, but Seven Force from Gunstar Heroes is a very fun boss (also arguably the only good part of Gunstar Super Heroes is it returning). Obligatory mention to Alien Soldier for having its own ersatz of it.
Also I absolutely love how in Kirby (and many other games by Sakurai) the boss does a teleportation spam sometimes before doing their pattern again
Video Games - TV Tropes
In 9 Monkeys of Shaolin, teleporting ninja mooks serves as a Goddamned Bats-type of enemy. In Achron, Vecgir units tend to do this once they've been upgraded, which occurs automatically once you get Gate Tech. In Alien Soldier, the main character …
A defining characteristic of Kirby and Super Smash Bros. endbosses:
- Nightmare in Kirby's Adventure
- Marx in Kirby Super Star
- Dark Mind in Kirby & the Amazing Mirror
- Drawcia in Kirby: Canvas Curse
- Daroach and his dark form in Kirby: Squeak Squad
- The Grand Doomer, silver-colored Sphere Doomers, Magolor, and their EX forms in Kirby's Return to Dream Land.
- Queen Sectonia in Kirby: Triple Deluxe.
- It's now possible for a particularly skilled Kirby player to do this with the ESP ability introduced in Kirby: Planet Robobot. The ability features a move called Vanish, which allows kirby to simply vanish and then reappear somewhere else. Players can abuse this to avoid any attack including the 1 hit kill final attack by the True Final Boss.
- Star Dream Soul OS in the same game
- Taranza in Team Kirby Clash Deluxe and Super Kirby Clash
- Morpho Knight in Kirby Star Allies and Kirby and the Forgotten Land
- Parallel Nightmare in Super Kirby Clash
- Chaos Elfilis, also from Kirby and the Forgotten Land
- Super Smash Bros. Brawl:
- Tabuu, from Subspace Emissary. Occasionally he'll leave explosions after teleporting, making following him around the stage a poor decision.
- Meta Knight can exploit his Dimensional Cape move for an infinitely long duration; a tactic deemed so completely broken that the character has been banned in tournament play.
