I have invented one of the simplest vehicles in Totk

There's a Ocarina of Time mod that let's you wear the masks from Majora's Mask.

This is madness! I'm surprised it wasn't done before.

No idea about hated but I'm glad about those results:

I've created a small mini-series that I'll add to as I come across more difficult battles 😅

I would like to see a remake of Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages. These two Zelda games really have that certain something!

Maybe them not being made by Nintendo's internal dev team is a reason why they don't care that much about it (that's why so far only OoT, MM, WW, TP, SS and LA got their own remasters/remakes so far).

I'd love to see those with the Link's Awakening Remake engine but I'd also like to see another original top down Zelda game as well (maybe expanding on Echoes of Wisdom's level design while having Link as the main protagonist again).

I'm sure that on the NS2 we'll get Wind Waker HD and Twilight Princess HD because they're long overdue but at the same time with BotW NS2 Ed and TotK NS2 Ed I feel like we're already seeing a saturation of ports and remasters.

Imagine the two Zelda games as remakes like Breaht of Wild or Tears of a Kingdom. That would be awesome but it will probably just remain wishful thinking.

I want the Totk features but in BotW's engine with stuff from both games but a new main quest and better shrine/side dungeons than either game.

It's this kind of shit that causes people to learn modding ::datadance

No thanks, top down should remain.

For the next 3D mainline game? Yeah.

I'm still unsure why the poll is asking a combo of underrated/hated. The CD-I ones are universally hated in the most laughable way, and we all agree with that.
IMO the only one that is really overhated is Phantom Hourglass because of the Temple of the Ocean King. The Oracle duology is absolutely the most underrated part of the series.

That will never happen but it would be interesting.

We can always cope it with very sporadic games like Echoes of Wisdom (which, personally, I didn't liked it as much as I hoped. But it wasn't bad either).

Yes, even if Arzette is a somewhat playable version of those.

When I was younger that dungeon was stressful as hell because of the time limit and how you can get one hit killed by those enemies (well, for the price of losing time) which made it harder than needed (as I wasn't good at stealth, especially with the floor that made noise if you went too fast on them).

I think that PH had one of the weakest soundtrack of the series (especially with that dungeon/cave theme and the field theme that are too repetitive) despite some of the better themed (like Linebeck and Bellum's). It almost felt like a Zelda game that wasn't one at first when I played it (even if the entire point is that, like Majora's Mask, it's not set in Hyrule). I could also add that the touch controls made it trickier to do what was normal with buttons (like rolling or precise walking). Thankfully there's no part where you have to be too accurate in the movements in the main game.

Replaying it more recently made me appreciate how the Temple of the Ocean King was made with newer items in mind. The first floors became much more easier to go by as you gain items to open the door faster (like the shovel or grappling hook) or being able to kill the smaller enemies as quickly as possible without losing sand. You can also get more sand on the overworld thanks to the maps.

I also think that doing the Temple again with the last sword is cathartic because you can finally get your revenge against those spectres (like Samus in the end of her section in Zero Mission when she gets her armor back with more powers than ever).

The Tower of Gods in Spirit Tracks is a much better version because of the lack of a time limit and being able to start from the upper floors from the get go.

That's awesome I read that there will be more of this sort of thing this year!

I didn't even know that people didn't like Oracle of Seasons/Ages.

I've heard people moan about Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks but I never managed to figure out why. They both felt like they functioned really well on the DS and I don't remember too many overly frustrating moments in the games.

Maybe I'm just biased because I enjoy the sailing aspect of Windwaker and Hourglass has plenty of that going on lmao

Did you know about this for the japanese Oracle boxarts? That is so cool and awesome.
As usual Japan got the better boxes.

But why the Japanese ones were vertical but for the GBA they went for horizontal ones?

I feel like people would complain about anything.

I remember reading a comment saying that "a 8-bits game in 2001 is outdated, the graphics soundtrack and gameplay are just bad when in the same year we got MGS1 and FFX"...

Where is this artwork from by the way? I don't recall it from the booklet.

I need to remember who was the artist for the Oracle games. I think it was the same who redrew the ALTTP GBA ones and probably did Four Swords and Minish Cap's.

I think it's from the Oracle of Ages manga, though I haven't read it in a while so I can't say for sure.

Thanks. I really like how nice those illustrations are (and even if Impa got introduced in OoT they managed to give her a design as if she had an appearance in the previous games like ALTTP).

Speaking of ALTTP here's the original art and its redrawn:

You can clearly see that the art style is much more like the Oracle games.

Ancient Stone Tablets, the BS version of Link to the Past, is the most underrated game in the entire series.

Tears of the Kingdom is the most unfairly hated Zelda game, followed shortly by Majora's Mask.
