What's a game everyone loves but you don't like it?

I'm going to be honest, I really am not a fan of fnaf at all. it just... doesn't look, feel, or seem like any fun.

also, I have never been a big fan of gta games. the second I try them, I do a few missions, fuck around with cheat codes that make me fly around, go on a rampage, and drop it. there are no exceptions to this. I can't imagine playing the whole thing.

I havn't given minecraft a fair chance to be sure, but I am not fond of my initial impression. I'd kinda rather program a game myself than make something in it. honestly it just made me miss little big planet.

Three games come to my mind when asked this question. Also this is my opinion.

I’m probably gonna get murdered for this but, I don’t really like Sonic Adventure 2. It just doesn’t work out for me. The controls feel stiff and the camera works against you rather than with you. The Treasure Hunting stages also overstay their welcome and are more frustrating than in SA1.

I also don’t really like Skyward Sword. The problem for me is that the game is very linear and hand-holding. It also has severe pacing issues, such as the beginning of the game and The Song of the Hero Quest. The controls are also a mixed bag, every now and then the motion controls will fuck up and be unresponsive at the wrong time. The locations you also visit feel very generic and overuse one single color in the environment. I can see a good game here, it’s just there’s too many setbacks for me.

Mario Kart 7. This game in my opinion is boring. It feels like a step down from previous entries. There’s also very baffling exclusions in the game. I do like some of the courses in this game, but I grow tired playing this game. It felt like Nintendo was trying to play it safe with this entry. Though, I’d gladly play this over Super Mario Kart and Mario Kart Tour any day.

Less a game that everyone loves and more of a game that people who are fans of the franchise really like and that I know and acknowledge is good, but I don't like it anyway. Anyway, I'm talking about Super Robot Wars 30.

It's a good game, I've played some of it when my bf came to visit, and I could see how it could be fun, but honestly my main problem has nothing to do with the game itself but everything surrounding it.

To be extremely blunt, for a game claiming to be the big 30th anniversary entry of a long-running franchise, it sure didn't feel like it. Like you'd think they'd do something that felt just a biiittt more special than just mostly throwing in series that were in the last 3 games, 4 new series (one of which they REALLY shafted), and just overall making it feel less like a special event game and more like an entry that honestly could've just been released at any point in time. Honestly, if they did not constantly remind you that this supposed to be an anniversary game, I probably would not nearly have as much of a problem with it as I do, but nope, they feel the need to remind you that this is supposed to be the *special 30th anniversary game* by less than subtly winking at the camera about it. (ESPECIALLY in the skits you get when you save and quit during a stage)

Not to mention the things that WERE included for the 30th anniversary were included in a half-assed manner. Like some of the mech animations and sprits for the OG DLC units were just uuuggglllyyyy.

Like I know this franchise is a licensing nightmare and it's not cheap, but I have to sigh that some of the most interesting inclusions are locked behind paid DLC. (Mostly looking at Sakura Wars and Getter Robo Devolution) "Oh but Tau, can't you play as them for one stage?" One stage, yes. But if you want them as part of your main roster, you have to pay for the DLC. Not to mention the scaling of the DLC units isn't very good to the point where some units won't do a lot of damage no matter how much upgrades you put into them.

Honestly SRW 30 is one of the reasons why, even though I actually really like three of the series they've revealed so far for SRW Y, I cannot bring myself to have any reaction other than apathy towards it.

Katamari Damacy.
Yes guys, ready the pitchforks please.

I also hate Street Fighter games despite liking any other fighting games. Weirdly enough I actually like Capcom vs. games.

Persona 5, and while I do love its ost, artstyle and story, its pacing is so slow and gameplay barely evolves, and it just drags on to the point of overstaying its welcome. The only game I can compare it to is Chrono Trigger but that didn't drag on for eternity, which was way more tolerable

Legend of Zelda as a series has never felt right for me. I´ve tried Ocarina of Time, I´ve played Twilight Princess... but they just don´t hit.

Undertale was kinda the same. The music absolutely slaps... but that´s about it. I enjoyed the Genocide run the most ::linkmouthcover

Never tried it after having such a bad experience with 2016
You need to, it's WAY better and the movement is awesome, 2016 is garbo in comparison.

Persona(the modern style) got old pretty fast after 4. I mean not everything has to be high school, the first 2 had adults on the party, specially the 2 duology (my favorite).

Super Mario World.
Maybe it's just because I never grew up with it, but I just do not find it enjoyable after the first handful of levels or so, no matter how many times I try.

Also, I just don't like 99% of online gaming experiences outside of brief stints in MMOs or online co-op games.

crash bandicoot, it can be pretty to look at at times and i appreciate it for setting up a new school of design for 3d platformers, but i found myself just getting really bored actually playing it, especially the 2d parts (didn't finish it but did beat ripper roo)

Super Smash Bros Brawl.

Look, i grew up with this game. I love the roster, I love Lucas, Sonic, R.O.B., Dedede, Wolf and Diddy Kong. I love the Music selection, best one in the series. Audi famam illius is a superior song to Lifelight in every.single.way.

But it SUCKS. Tripping is an absolutely moronic mechanic, and the worst part is that it doesn't even punish the most overpowered character in the game, have fun accidentally tripping when you dash as you get destroyed by Meta Knight's ABSURD air game.

Dogwater balancing even for Smash standards, Chaingrabbing via characters such as Icies and Dedede, ledgehogging, and other assorted tomfoolery.

Brawl tried to be as anti-melee as possible yet it ended up beign as janky and broken, without any of the charm. Im not even a hardocre competitive tournament guy, i have never entered a tournament, but in its attemps to beign ultra casual Brawl fumbles the bag to the opposite direction from Melee (and unlike Melee, this time its not accidental)

I HATE Brawl's artstyle, and still do. I don't mind the more realistic detail like in Mario's overalls, but i do absolutely despise this washed out color scheme. Did Mario left his clothes in the sun for days? Why does everyone look so dull? Outside of the TP Cast and Solid Snake, NONE of the characters look good due to their color scheme and lightning alone, and why do you think adding TOON LINK to a game with this artstyle was a good idea?! Seriously.

And most of the stages are a chore. For every Pirate Ship and Green Hill Zone we get a Hannenbow and Rumble Falls. Stages filled with hazards that only hamper the experience, and since this was before Omega Mode, Battlefield mode or Hazard toggles, this means if you wanna experience the music in this game while playing it, you WILL have to endure some of this garbo.

and Subspace Emisary is the most overrated thing in Smash's history. Look, i love the idea of an adventure mode, i LOVED Melee's adventure mode but this is just lame. I hate story modes in FIGHTING games because im forced to play as characters i DON'T wanna play for the sake of "the story". No SSE, i do not wanna play as Marth or Lucario or the Ice Climbers, why do i gotta wait until the very END to play as Sonic? Why can't i just play as Wolf for the entire campaign? For the cutscenes? The sames ones that Sakurai and his team were salty that were shared online? yeah right. The only worthy thing to come out of this is the Boss Battles (i will give credit to Brawl for having an ACTUAL Boss Rush mode instead of locking it behind a DLC character in Ultimate)

To make things ever lamer, the levels are mostly made up locations. The Jungle BARELY counts as a DKC level, same goes for the Glacial Peak for Ice Climber, while everything else is a creatively bankrupt level like.......the Canyon......or the Swamp......or the Wilds. Riveting stuff guys. Oh and outside of Goombas and Koopa don't expect to see iconic enemies like Waddle Dees or Motorbugs or Kremlings, but instead OC bollocks that Sakurai pulled out of nowhere. Outside of the Afromentioned Bosses, none of these made up enemies are appealing.

If i wanna play SSE, i just play Smash Run on the 3DS, a less bloated experience that allows me to play whichever character i actually like.

If i wanna play Brawl, i play a HEAVILY modded version of it. It's the Skyrim of Nintendo games.

Also fuck you for removing Mewtwo.

Plus tank controls are a thing of nightmares.

Setting and Graphics? An upgrade from OOT
Music? Solid

I never played any silent hill games in my childhood. I played SH2 and SH3 recently and I loved these games. I also played SH1, I can see your point. This game was very important in the survival horror genre, however It's plagued with ps-jank. It's still a good game.

Final fantasy Vi
