What was your childhood's dream job?

As a kid I wanted to be a doctor or a psychologist but then I realized that I am very bad at memorizing how the parts of the body conects and everything ? and also the Neurobiology class killed all hope and will to learn that I had

I'm told kid me wanted to be a lumberjack - specifically in Canada. Red and black plaid shirt, thick beard and all. Dressed up like that for Halloween even.
and That's okay, you sleep all night and you work all day, you cut down trees, you have your lunch, and you go to lavatory, on Thursdays he goes shopping, and has buttered scones for tea.

I always wanted to be a pilot, and I even prepared for the Air Force's entrance exam... but poor eyesight and frail health put an end to that.

Oh, well.

What about you?

On site field archaeology. Between Jurrasic Park and Indiana Jones, I had visions of globe trotting adventures to discover all sorts of awesome stuff.

This is going to sound really weird, but I always wanted — and still kinda do — to be someone who designs mascot characters. As you may have guessed from my obsession with Fido Dido, I love the little cartoons we use to represent products — how a brand’s identity can be distilled visually.

Characters like Fido Dido, the Sun Bum gorilla, Cool Spot, or the Monopoly man don’t have full cartoon shows or movies to support them, but they’re so well-designed that you immediately “know” the character’s personality, and therefore the brand’s. Isn’t that cool!?

I actually have no idea what the title of someone who does this stuff is called — is it just bundled in with graphic design? I guess so. I’m a writer now, so I’m only allowed to think about boring words that nobody reads.

Designing mascots is a pretty great (and often underappreciated) career, dude.

MLB and other multimillion companies have them as the centerpiece of their operation for a reason. Nobody is gonna buy a $50 Baltimore Orioles cap or become a SEGA loyal without seeing the cool character that represents those brands, because they draw you in. My friend is currently majoring in marketing because she wants to draw the next best thing, and I think that's awesome.

The one mascot to rule them all:

I alway wanted to be a game developer ever since I first got into video games but nowadays I actually want to become a composer instead of programming stuff mainly because I look up to the amazing music from the games I really consider my all time favorite games such as The Ori series and Undertale.

Actually i love making music too! Especially for games that i make myself!
I have a strong imagination for creating epic musics in my mind, but am just a rookie when it comes to working with music-making tools! ?

I wanted to be a pirate. It never occurred to 5yo Clippy that a 17th century galleon would not only be incredibly difficult to procure but also wouldn't stand a chance against any modern navy. I suppose I could still try my luck in Somalia.

Or I could be content with digital piracy.

I havent bought a game since 2015, livin the dream!

I know you probably got asked this a million times when you were going through school, I know I did. Maybe you didn't. I don't think everyone knows exactly what they want to be/do when they hit that age. I was first asked this when I was in elementary school. I responded with "I don't know!". I was very young and honestly that answer still sticks with me, haha. I do enjoy graphic design now so maybe that is my calling, but here I am running a coffee shop. ?

That's pretty good though
When I was a kid, I wanted to Kamen Rider Black. Probably because I want to "beat bad guys" thing, or because of his suit and bike

When it's highschool though, I don't exactly know what I wanted to be, there's so much I can do. In the end, I only focus on getting a job and get the job done. I wanted to do a game but for now I'm learning the basics

I'm still a teenager and well im hoping to become a motorsports racer one day but in my country there are only like 7 that was ever accepted on motorsports... i also want to be an f1 racer. Its impossible.

my elementary shoved the idea of college down our throats and i just lied and picked "photographer" bc they said we couldn't all be doctors or vets. They thought it was such a unique idea i put over a decade getting good so college was cake. Last few months of high school i got so good just said fuck school i will just freelance LOL. now i just do virtual reality photography and get paid still i guess. But i work a regular minimum wage job, i don't believe we need a piece of paper to say our life is worth something

When will I be even more grown up than now? Alas, I think I'll end up underground, like most. Oh... You mean even later, in yet another reincarnation? Well, I hope to have more determination and courage, to overcome the temptations of the ego and the lure of the veil of Maya, going beyond the hell of samsāra and finally reaching moksha (mukti), karma burned and heaven willing. ??
