What was your childhood's dream job?

I've always wanted to be a game developer so I dabbled with the RPG Maker engine like every teenager who had grand ideas but I eventually found out years later that I am not a creative person and I'm just a bum.

When I was little, I watched the old show "Today's Special" that was about a lady who worked in a toy department overnight, and she would hang out with this mannequin that could come to life. So I decided I wanted to work in a toy department overnight. Simple little goal, which I did for awhile and it wasn't glamorous or anything, but it was mostly enjoyable. No mannequin, though. Just a lot of people who liked to take a ton of smoke breaks.

Well, i always spent my days playing on the ps2 or reading history books... So when this question was asked to me i always replied with: Historian or a game designer :/. But since life is life still to this day i dont know exactly what the hell to do.

I know you probably got asked this a million times when you were going through school, I know I did. Maybe you didn't. I don't think everyone knows exactly what they want to be/do when they hit that age. I was first asked this when I was in elementary school. I responded with "I don't know!". I was very young and honestly that answer still sticks with me, haha. I do enjoy graphic design now so maybe that is my calling, but here I am running a coffee shop. 😅
mech suit builder.
nah lol I wanted and want to be a ski instructor; am a postman now. Making guap. I also resell clothes, electronics and antiques. And I make really dumb rap music lol

For me it always changed elementary I wanted to be a rapper or just make music. Than middle school it was coding. Than in highschool it was theater design and being a stage hand so setting up lighting audio and making sets but than I was also doing photography and now I want to be a photo digital tech (mostly because it makes good money in the industry) than continue to do my documentary photography on the side. But if that doesn’t work out the way I want it to I always have a trade to fall back on. Plus I still make music for fun

Wow! That's actually very many interesting jobs. Haha. I have a friend who delivers mail. She hates it. 😅 Though, I guess it depends on where you are delivering mail around at.

Must've been tiring, does she used any vehicle?

From childhood I wanted to become a scientist because I was obsessed with magnets and how they would just attract or deflect (I know its a bit dumb) so I studied really hard. And this year on Feb I'll be sitting for my PhD entrance exams. Very excited for that.
A coffee shop job sounds really cozy (though I know it might not be!), but it sounds like you're having a good time. Definitely keep up the graphic design – you never know what'll pay off!
The graphics design you do is it for games or for other softwares and stuff?

That is so exciting! I am so happy for you! ❤️
Working in a coffee shop has its ups and downs. I enjoy the people that come in everyday. You start to get to know them on a deeper level and it's nice to be able to get their day started!
As far as graphic design, I've done some work for various discord servers, personal projects, or businesses in my community. I do it mostly as a side hobby, but I am hoping to someday make it my main occupation. I also paint and make earrings. So a little bit of everything in the arts. It keeps me pretty busy.

It sounds like you have a lot of creative energy! Balancing graphic design, painting, and making earrings on top of managing coffee shop. Wow! It's great that you're hoping to make graphic design your main occupation.
I wish you all the best for your future, I hope you achieve everything you're aiming for.

200,000? Even in dollars that is insane, I would not be living at home with that lol. I can't wait to have my friends over to play on my Bang Olufsen mx4000 with modded consoles when I move out.

heard some domestic abuse so it is quite a weird ass job being so close to peoples lives everyday

At 4 or 5 I wanted to be a garbage truck driver, but after RE4 released I wanted to be a government agent. Post high school I really wanted to try and become an archaeologist, held that dream for a number of years but to no avail. Now that I have hit passed the 30 year old mark, I just want to be a self-sufficient farmer more or less, as long as I can be left in peace I don't mind the work that follows. If I'm ever so lucky, maybe I could work on a ranch or have my own, time will tell.

I had no aspirations or higher goals, all I wanted was to live in a room like a degenerate and not be restricted to a single perspective

To be a frozen treat salesman. Now I am a professional driver, but not racecars or anything like that. It all just worked out how it needed to I guess. The world is certainly a lot different now than it was when I decided I wanted to do anything.

For me, I always wanted to do voice acting. When I was a teenager I tried getting involved in some small projects but all of them fell apart.

Don't give up! Maybe it wasn't your time yet. There are always other opportunities.
Aww, thanks. I appreciate that. I haven't completely given up. Just don't really have the time or quiet environment needed to try again. Maybe one day though.
