What was your childhood's dream job?

This one's an easy one.

Two answers...

1. Quarterback for the Rams

2. Driving against Dale Earnhardt when he was still with us. RIP Big 'E'. You're still the man!

I used to want to get into business animation, but as of recent years hearing about many animation projects getting shut down by mean ol' corporate companies, I think I'll just stick to regular drawings in the comfort of my own home

Discovering Trauma Center during my pre-teens convinced me for a time that I should become a surgeon. Since then I've also seriously considered going into nursing multiple times, so I guess some of it's stayed with me.

(It was mostly about the cool soundtrack, I think.)

I wanted to get into Game Design, as I imagine is a pretty common childhood dream job. I fell out of love with the idea once I learned of how rough and exploitative the industry was, but I still wouldn't mind working on a smaller indie project.

game designer!

going into robotics instead, still very happy with the choice. and plus I still love coding and making silly trash games, who knows it could be a side gig/hobby

For most of my earlier childhood I wanted to be a veterinarian, then I wanted to be an assassin, then a marine biologist.

I still want to be one of those.

I wanted to be zoo keeper. Feed penguins and seals and everything that moved. That was the best job i could have ever imagine at the age of 5. But when i was 12 i found my dream job and right now i study it! it feels crazy following my childhood ideas

I wanted to be a historian.

I always wanted to be a pilot, and I even prepared for the Air Force's entrance exam... but poor eyesight and frail health put an end to that.

Oh, well.

What about you?
I wanted to be a pilot too!
I also wanted to be a veterinarian.
But life took me in other ways.

When I was in kindergarten, I said I wanted to be a shoe-shiner.

Everyone laughed at me but I spend my time serving the people I care about. I think kids are really smart, tbh.

it's not crazy, it show pure love and concern toward animals you should be proud of yourself

they told you to get your shine box
you told them to get their pine box ⚰️

I wanted to be a Cryptozoologist, study cryptids and all that, don't really understand it now because how can you study something that doesn't exist?

Wait, haven't I posted in this thread before?
Anyway, firefighter.

I was getting ready to live my dream of being a tattoo artist. 17 with big plans and an apprenticeship when I finished school. Alas life had other plans for me and a car accident ended that dream. Still a dream though, just one that remains a dream.

I wanted to have an office job ,tbh any I spend my childhood working in the farm I hated it at that time(4 to 4 ain't no joke),but now I'm feeling kinda nostalgic

I wanted to work in an archive, quietly cataloging records, talking to absolutely no one and getting to focus entirely on sorting information.

An author of a very successful, ongoing comic...

*glances at the current state of sharing art online and comic/art industry*

Yeah...

I've always wanted to be a paleontologist.
