Video games you would want to translate yourself

Moonlight Syndrome. I seem to be one of the 3 people on Earth who actually likes Suda51's vn's so i always wanted to translate at least Moonlight Syndrome into English for my 2 other fellow fans since i heard it's kind of a prequel to The Silver Case. I wish i wasn't as lazy as i am so i could actually learn Japanese instead of daydreaming about learning it.

I think it’s more of a asset or technical problem, but if I had the know how Flower, Sun, and Rain on the PS2 would be my go to game to get it in English. I know there’s a DS port but it’s a bit…crunchy looking.

Failing that, Shadowrun on the Mega CD. So many of us want to check that game out!

The DS version of Flower Sun and Rain looks fine for the console it's in but i don't understand why nobody has ported the DS version's script over to the PS2 version. It doesn't seem like it would be all that hard to do.

Since the guy who was translating Fortune Arterial lost the data, and he didn't get to translate the best route, yeah Fortune Arterial.

As for games that i could realistically translate, maybe a LATAM Spanish version of Uncharted Waters 1 and 2, just so my friends could check them out (i would like the rest of the series in English at least, but alas).

I think I remember reading that there’s a lot of kanji stored and displayed as image, or texture, files in game so there’s more than just swapping out text to get it fully translated sadly. A bit too much work to inject a translation effort into the game.

All this definitely. Every SNK games should be in English in one way or another, including Doki Doki Major Shinpan!.

In fact, for Days of Memories series I do have the game scripts from my own extractions and have a little knowledge in Japanese myself to help translate. My nonexistent hacking skills, OTOH...

The Japanese version of Fire Emblem Fates/If. We got the version with content removed due to censorship, including removing the gay romantic pairings. Admittedly the...petting minigame looks a little cringe, but they could have just made that a togglable feature. Point is we got LESS CONTENT for a rather expensive 3DS game because someone had their panties in a twist.

I see a lot of requests for the Shin Megami Tensei series ports for the playstation, and I second those mentions. I actually just started the first game on my steam deck this week with the one English translation we have. Assuming the rest of the series is this good, I'd like to play the other three games on playstation too.

I also would like to see Seikai no Monshou, and Seikai no Senki games for playstation, and playstation 2 translated to English. I haven't played them, but I love the anime series these visual novels are based on. It's known as Crest of the Stars, and Banner of the Stars in the West. The story features a love story between a young male protagonist, and a badass princess during a sprawling galactic war between two empires.

I've been playing the Retranslation of Illusion of Gaia on the SNES. Got to the Sky Garden and I couldn't help but feel that it was done with a direct and rudimentary translation. The original SNES game had a lot of flair to it, even though its censored. I'd LOVE to go through it line by line like I did for Ted Woolsey Uncensored Edition and do the same to this game.

I tried it out after I posted a review of the USA version on here, and that was my impression too. It's so flavorless, I gave up on it after a couple hours.

It's a shame too because the QoL improvements are REALLY nice. I love the enhanced title screen, Y to sprint, and the option to switch between US and Japanese names. Like I said, if I could lend what I did with FFVI I'd gladly do so.
