It's the same for Denmark. We learn English very young, but that is moreso because we have to because of movies and videogames. Movies for kids do of course get dubbed, but most games don't, apart from games for very little children.My guess was always because Scandinavian countries seem to have been good at English for so long, in Sweden we are taught English in school from 7 years old, while Germany seems to dub everything.
Not sure about France and Spain though.
Kinda makes dubbing for fun/passion feel more worth it though! :D
Haha, I wish I had a team of friends who did Danish dubbing for fun ? I remember back in the late 2000s when the Japanese exclusive scene from Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix floated around the internet, some guy and his gf took it upon themselves to dub some of them in Danish, and while you could tell they had made... an effort... it was... something.
