Video games you would want to translate yourself

SRW 4, then the other old SRW games, especially the handheld ones

SD Gundam G Generation series, especially F, FIF and SPIRITS

The Gihren's Greed series

Macross VFX, VFX-2 and the PS2 game

Assault Suits Valken for the PSX

Another Century's Episode series

Yeah, I know... Obviously I'm a mecha otaku

im surpr
The Summon Night games from 1-4.
There hasn't been any English translations for these games for YEARS and I don't think they're getting one any time soon.
So, I decided to learn Japanese so I can play them and ( hopefully) give them an English translation so everyone can enjoy them.

surprised they havent been properly tl yet... i really adore the series. Exthese would be nice. And the black matrix series, also...

Ive been toying with Sweet Ange GBC for fun, I'd like to translate it properly one day but reading jp and tl it are two different things, even if the game is simple enough. That and the kawaii petshop monogatari series would be something i'd like to try. I at least translate the item + animal names for kpm but that's easy peasy stuff.

Oukoku no Grand Chef (3DO Interactive Multiplayer) I'm genuinely interested in translating the audio since many dialog consists of voice acting.

Honestly? Any of the Knight Gundam RPGs, but ESPECIALLY the ones that were on Ezweb and are probably lost media now.

Super Robot Wars BX or UX would be another one for me.
Damn I forgot about SRW BX, I would also translate it!

Katekyo Hitman Reborn! DS - Fate of Heat 2... if spike read this "the rom is not here and I have a copy" if he want it ofc oh and also I wanted translated too someday ah...

mane if you ever do it tell me asap I always wanted to play something more than the Swordcraft Story games!

And as for me, I'm also studying japanese to translate a pretty forgotten Zero No Tsukaima visual novel on the ps2. It's pretty interesting because the plot has a girl (from Saito's hometown) also winding up isekai'd. I could only find a code to unlock everything and saw all CGs, but idk how does nobody talk about it, haven't seen more than a few screenshots.

Growlanser 1 - as it's never been translated to English
Same with the Sengoku Basara series

Then retranslations for, like, all the Trails games, Valkyria Chronicles games, Final Fantasy games, Chrono Trigger, Fire Emblem, Mario RPG games, Unicorn Overlord, etc to ensure they have accurate translations (if none exist yet), because the official translations usually fail in many ways.

A lot of 3DS Japan only games. Hell if you're a Treasure fan, their last game before going cold was release there, Gaist Crusher! Here's a little list I would translate:
From one KR fan to another you have my respect.
Heck I'm blessed to have imported Memory of Heroez for the switch in English because Bandai Namco is great at stealth releasing games with English subs through PlayAsia.

Well Blue Submarine No.6 was my white whale and by some miracle I got it. Bless the Polish Dreamcast community.

But if it was in my power, and yes I KNOW this is Impossible to fan translate through normal means:

Real Sound: Kaze no Regret

Yeah, I am still waiting for that Growlanser translation so I can finally play the Growlanser series

I know this game it only has sound.

as a biggest positive, i'd want to translate something that has no translation yet at all
currently i've been interested in the World Neverland series, which has around 6 entries in the series iirc, but only the last one (Elnea Kingdom) has an official release in english language
really, i'm with that guy that wanna translate ALL GAMES ! ::biggrin

but when i think about it a lot, i start remembering translations i've learned were changed from writer's original intention or a bit confusingly done/mistakes made, and re-translations of those become kind of tempting haha
off the top of my head, grandia 1 and 2, mega man legend 1 and 2, and okage had bits i've noticed were odd, different intent, or lost a bit of context which confused some things, so i have the urge to include them ::biggrin

video games.. not sure. BUT i did start a lil side project as a hobby for translating this yuri manga called Love-Bullet into English from Japanese since i wasnt a fan of the current fan translation. it was a fun project that ive moved on from for now, but i think could be cool to go back to

here are a couple of the pages i worked on:

It's probably easier translate manga than video games

That's pretty cool! I also want to get a physical release of Memory of Heroez but I'm having a hard time finding any acessible for me rn. Never heard of the game you chose, but from what I've seen it's a game that's just hearing a story? Seems really hard to translate something like this.
