Underrated games...

I took some time to think about this. I can think of a decent chunk of games that are good enough and underrated, but one stood out above all the others...

View attachment 11286Stella Glow! This one was a super nice surprise. It was suggested to me because it's a Tactical RPG, which is my favorite genre. It's not a perfect game, nothing is, but when I started playing it I didn't put it down until I finished it. It's pretty high on my list of Tactical RPGs and I've been wanting to replay it since I beat it.

A party game where the guy who has kissed more girls wins the inheritance from their dying grandpa. It sounds weird but in my opinion, the best games are.

Anyone play Cel Damage or Gitaroo Man? One is a racer based on wacky cartoons like Looney Tunes or Wacky Races. Has a reality tv show plot. Gitaroo Man is a rhythm game. But I don't remember it too well. Played it a few years back, really cool artstyle and music.

I super duper recommend the Bushido Blade games as well. I have forced almost all of my friends to play them with me and the consensus is that they're super neat but really janky and hard to control. x) Still, give 'em a try! They are flawed gems, but still gems. Thankfully, indie games have kept the formula alive, even if they are rather different. Nidhogg 1&2, Hellish Quart, One Strike and Slice, Dice & Rice. No doubt there's more, but that's a start.

I third the Bloody Roar games as well, especially 2. They aren't good in the sense that you'll never see them at Evo, but it's one of my favorite fighting game series. If you end up liking the PS1 games, Bloody Roar: Primal Fury for the GameCube is the best of the series. Bloody Roar 4 kinda shitted up the series by making your transformation bar count as your health meter while transformed, but it's not a dreadful game. It did kill the series off though. x)

is Street Fighter EX 2 Plus underrated? Fatal Fury: Wild Ambition? Samurai Shodown: Warrior's Raaahahhahaha ok I'll stop there n just recommend the former of the 3. the 3D atrocities Wild Ambition n Warrior's Rage are for diehard SNK warriors only pretty much.
