Underrated games...

View attachment 15072
on of the best beat em up games I've ever played, back in the day beat em ups were simple but this game asked what if we let the player slow down time, grab the remaining parts of the enemy and throw it to the other ones then deflect the lasers and then finish the fight by teleporting and slashing all the enemies Vergil style? the answer is one of the best star wars games ever and a hard sob to 100%
Finally, someone else that likes this masterpiece GBA game. I could sing it's praises all fuckin' day and I still get people hating on it. Like, I don't know what you expect bro; ever played the 3D Star Wars on GBA? Or Yu Yu Hakusho? You want another one of those? 'Cause I don't.

Star Wars - Episode III is fuckin' awesome, and more people need to experience it.

Yeah that Super Fami one is awesome. I enjoy the Sega Genesis one as well! There was this AWFUL top down action one on GBA with super washed out graphics and stuff.

That's the one I was referring to. Awesome concept, but the graphics make it unplayable.

...And I'm a NES fan. ?

The Super Robot Wars franchise as a whole, Danball Senki/Little Battlers eXperience and Chou Soujuu Mecha MG

I have the collection for PS4 still wrapped.

Btw I remember one "underrated" game, probably also because it's less known, that would be Projectyle on the Amiga, still one of my favorite games which I still nowadays play from time to time. It's absolutely addictive, look like it as the prototype of games like Rocket League.

Apocalypse on the PS1 is a cool action game from Neversoft starring Bruce Willis. It's violent, has fun weapons, cool changes in camera perspective, great one liners, and an interesting control scheme. Its engine would later be used for Tony Hawk's Pro Skater and Spider-Man

The Sexy Brutale - A really good puzzle/stealth game with a macabre tone and memorable characters. This one's a masterpiece and I can't recommend it highly enough. Try to play it spoiler free for the best experience

The Deception series has some of the most unique gameplay I have ever seen where you play as an antagonist (who always seem to be female) killing heroes and innocent people in hilarious and violent ways using traps. The storylines usually are pretty dark and supernatural. It's like horror meets Home Alone.

Evil Dead Regeneration - A really fun Evil Dead game. It's way better than that Ash vs Evil Dead game that came out recently. I haven't played Fistful of Broomstick, but some people like that one too

The Red Star fuses shooter and brawler gameplay together. It's challenging but always fair. Some people call it a beat 'em up, but it goes into bullet hell shooter territory with a lot of the boss fights. It has two characters with distinct play styles, co-op, and an unlockable third character with yet another completely different play style.

Three Dirty Dwarves - A very unique beat 'em up with a novel story, unique art style, and a GREAT soundtrack

A King's Tale Final Fantasy XV is a fun little beat 'em up that I never hear people talk about. It plays and controls well and makes good use of well known FF enemies.

The Dishwasher Vampire Smile is one of the best 2d beat 'em up/hack and slash games I've ever played. It's very dark, surreal, and violent. The action is fast and challenging, almost feels like a 2d equivalent to modern Ninja Gaiden games. It's actually a sequel, the first game was harder. This one feels more balanced and fair. If you're familiar with the Salt and Sanctuary games, this came from the same developer

Spy Hunter should be familiar to retro gamers. The 2001 game is an awesome vehicular action game and way better than the original arcade game IMO

ive never heard of this game (not so big on suikoden), looks great, how would you rate it? recommend?
I remember I liked it; after reading reviews, years later, I also remembered the high number of random encounters, it can become annoying, and (if I'm not mistaken) lack of maps in dungeons, but this is quite common in old rpgs. Like other "Suikoden" titles, you have more than 100 characters to recruit, many for your party and many for your castle. Graphics are nice and colourful (for a ds game), the battles are turn-based with three or four party members; if you're interested and you can get it here in the repo, just do it, because I think the prices for physical version are quite high nowadays. I recommend it because I liked it, and I think a jrpg fan used to old games may like it, but still you should read reviews/watch videos to have a better idea.
