Things you hate in games you love.

The long cutscenes in the metal gear games. I have to sit down and have two free hours ahead of me, because you never know if the next cutscene will be an hour long!!
Snake: "The long cutscenes in Metal Gear games? You have to sit down and have two free hours ahead of you because you never know if the next cutscene will be an hour long?!"

I swear, half the dialog in that game is Snake repeating everything he hears in question form.

All MOBAs: They exist as MOBAs.

Vast casts loaded with cool character designs, often overflowing with expansive lore, and everyone has cool mechanics and gimmicks to make each one play in a unique fashion... And they're stuck in awful PVP games that exists solely to induce irrational rage in the majority of the player base, dissolving team cohesion when someone griefs from even the smallest perceived slight, causing the collapse of the rest of the match, resulting in even more rage, killing long term interest in the game.

I rather enjoy the core gameplay design with all these characters having a limited move set, but they synergize in unique and satisfying ways. I even enjoy making my own hero concepts and brainstorming unique move sets and workshopping ways to make them complex and fun to play if they hypothetically were made into real characters. But I'd never want to actually play these MOBAs due to how the community, inevitably and without fail, devolves into nothing more than rage-inducing madness.

One of the biggest MOBA flops was Ninja Theory's Bleeding Edge. Not only did it add yet another MOBA style game to a bloated market, even the in-game lore made that choice of PVP game design completely nonsensical! The story is a band of misfit cyborg join together to fight back against the companies that oppress them, yet the game involves them fighting each other?! Helldivers 2 shows just how much fun PVE games can be, and Ninja Thery really should've done something similar with players grouping up and picking their hero, then taking on small Left 4 Dead-style maps filled with various generic enemy types.

Also not a fan of obtuse nonsensical solutions in puzzle/point-and-click adventure games. You should be able to figure them out by being smart, not by being so stumped you try every item and every combination of items until something stupid you never would have guessed turns out to work for some reason.
The pain is real.
