Honestly the first game isn't very good to me. It falls apart in level design quite fast for me. 2 onward is a huge improvement. I could never get into the first game and found it so hard as a kid ontop of that. Maybe it was because it was the last of the Genesis sonic games I played? CD is my favorite of the 2D sonic because it really expands upon the gameplay naturally. Exploration is important because of the multiple endings. The levels are immaculate in that game really. Besides maybe the random bottomless pit in the final zone.

Still, sonic 1 isn't a horrible game and very much a beautiful prototype in my eyes.

I think Sonic 1 Mobile Remaster or Sonic 1 Forever is easily fixing almost every flaws of the game and putting it to the standards of Sonic 2 and 3&K.

Still, sonic 1 isn't a horrible game and very much a beautiful prototype in my eyes.

I think this can apply to many franchises (like how Mega Man 1 is rough compared to the other 5 NES games).

I played Sonic 1 on the DC just after launch, and it felt like I had a higher tolerance for the jank. It's a 3D Sonic game! Ya gotta see it to the end etc etc.
Thankfully I got a mainly positive experience outta the game.

Another game made by Sonic Team was Phantasy Star Online. I never gave it a try until I was going through my Nintendont list and played an hour of it. It was actually pretty good, and as of 2026 I found that there are servers running for the GC version! Although it might be best to stick to the PC version.

Something funny happened to me yesterday. I wanted to get back into fighting games, and I was expecting to get my butt kicked since I hadn't played in a while. So, anyway, I opened Fightcade and looked for a match in KOF '98.
I found someone in rank D, just to get used to the game a bit since I hadn't played KOF '98 much. Surprisingly, I won 3-1. I felt proud because I usually get nervous in things like that. Then I went to SF3 Third Strike. Another rank D guy challenged me, but this time he really wiped the floor with me. A few seconds after the first match ended, he challenged me again (I guess to mock me again).

But then, after an intense match, I managed to beat him 3-2. The funny thing is that when I landed the final blow, the emulator crashed. I guess it was because of how angry my opponent was, lol.

Well, if official online games like the Capcom Fight Collection have cases like that, I suppose it's commonplace in Fightcade.

Besides, I think the guy I faced yesterday was one of those, since he had advanced technique.

Atlyss is similar solo and multiplayer pseudo mmo. But no it's not NSFW. Just suggestive (big boobs and butts, some skimpy outfits) nothing actually sexual. There is 18+ rp servers but that's got its own area to go to and doesnt cross over.

Never interested me. Most MMOs don't honestly. I've played many for at least a few hours to 5-10 hours and they just never hit. I still go back to Mabinogi though I never actually play much more vibe and dress up lol

I've read people calling it a "furry gooning game" so I avoided it for a while.

Seems like the gameplay is decent but it's the same issue as Pseudoregalia, great gameplay but this could attract a certain fanbase.

Even as a Genesis owner, I've never been that big into Sonic, mainly due to the fact that you're going too fast to often see what you're doing. I do however like the first one the most because it feels like an arcade style platformer, much like Super Mario Bros 1 was (which makes sense in a way).

2 was all-right because of Tails, 3 looked the best (same with S&K), and I could never figure out what to do in CD to every properly give it a solid evaluation on it's own merits (and to a lesser extent, I felt like Chaotix was a fun experiment that was poorly implemented)

I finally beat Growlanser 3, great game.
I've been enjoy the story, despite not being a masterpiece in narrative, is pretty good for their time. Characters are fine, some aspect lore wise are interesting.
Gameplay wise is not very different from Growlanser 2, almost the same thing.

This game have some of the most horrid dungeons, probably the worst in the entire franchise. It's not a hard game, but it can be difficult in some scenarios.

I appreciate that the story gives importance to Michelle as a side character.

This is one of my fav, i'm too fond of this type of weird/experimental stories.
I love the stupid sense of humor, the characters, and the 4th wall breaks that this does sometimes.

I'm going to follow up this with The 25 Ward cause i want to understand the idea behind Mondo, and Sundance (Kamui) and many clusterfucks concepts there.

And yeah...truth is singular, like Mods in Rgt
