The Inn -- General Gaming Chat

I've had this idea for ages and mad that Nintendo has never done anything like it and that they've given up on nintendogs in general.

Nintendogs but Pokemon. You raise pokemon and breed them, so generations of specific moves, personality, etc. And then the gameplay loop is the same more or less than nintendogs, but the tournament stuff would be contests instead. Could have extra training mini games as well. Imagine the possibilities. Not that I would want it to be a mobile game, but it could even be free to play phone game like pokemon go. Why did nintendo have to abandon nintendogs

I'm not entirely sold on Leon's gameplay in Resident Evil 9... it breaks with the heavy, terrifying atmosphere created by Grace. And let's not even consider the enormous loops the developers created to prevent me from immediately opening doors and switches, instead making me go through loops where Leon could simply jump or somersault and go.

The problem is that I hate the action portion of Resident Evil, which for me should remain classic PS1-style survival horror, which is why I hate 5 at its best, and I'd like to finish 4 and 6 to fully complete the numbered saga. But they don't convince me either.

To be honest Nintendogs was a DS tech demo. The 3DS (With Cats) didn't work as well because touch screen controls weren't new and honestly seeing the silhouette of the cat instead of having it on the lower screen wasn't the best idea.

That was the Amie mini game in Pokémon X/Y

Hi everybody
Now I am going to talk about the day I can beat final fight 2 in one sitting
Why?
I am bored
::cirnoshrug
Well, it happened 3 years ago, I was in my grandma's house. It was in a city far from where I live, so my uncle have a PS3 with gen.
And I was installed many emulators of retro consoles. Then I started to play final fight 2 in SNES emulator.
I don't know if it was luck, but in the first few levels I was able to farm quite a few lives. I also reached levels I'd never played before. Then, I defeated the bosses and reached the final level. I still had a good number of lives left and hadn't used any continues. When I faced the final boss, I thought it would be harder, but I managed to beat him fairly easily. At first, I couldn't believe it since it was the first time I'd ever beaten that game.

Whelp Steam sale came right on in and stole all my money (a whole 18 dollars). Made off with
-Odallus: The Dark Call
-Oniken
-Blazing Chrome
-Vengeful Guardian Moonrider

This is the Inn right, so of course I assume I am drinking, to that end,
I say F*** E33,FF7 and all the other crap you guys are tired of hearing me complain about.
My drunken love goes to KCD fu its almost 10 years old. that's retro enough. And if
that's not good enough you can suck it while I enjoy DnD smokey MT. on the Intellivision

Throwing grenades at smug Doom bots never gets old lol.

You know... For when you want to say maybe two or three stray observations about any game without creating a whole new topic for them (still feel free to do so, but here's the option to do it in a simpler way).

I'll start us off with something that happened to me yesterday: I was playing on a MiniJava emulator (for flip phone/old mobile games) and I was genuinely confused there for a second when it came time to input my character's name -- turns out that I had completely forgotten that I had to do so by cycling through letters on the emulated phone's numpad instead of just typing it in like you would nowadays.

That used to be second nature to me at some point and it's kinda funny how it has almost become "forgotten lore" since.

What about you?
I do that sometimes when I'm running emulators, I automatically reach for my keyboard then realise haha.

I've beaten the first path of both the original Star Fox and 64 for the first time recently, and while I quite liked 64's gameplay and will probably try the other paths whenever I feel like doing so, I did not enjoy the former very much. The framerate is the killer really IMO.

I keep discovering new things on GTA Vice City. It's such an amazing experience, my God.

Been playing random saturn games as I've never experienced the system before. I miss when video game consoles had whimsy.

I made a new leadoff hitter on my baseball game and maxed out her speed stats so she'd put enormous pressure on the battery by threatening to steal bases every time she's up.

... She keeps hitting home runs instead ::cirnoshrug

Are you a game dev?

Kirby signature
I'm asking a serious question here, so don't get bent outta shape.
By the time the ding-dongs at the Big N even conceptualized this dumb pink ball,
I had already moved on the the mighty Genesis. So I have NEVER played a Kirby
game. I know there are like a hundred now. But the blob never appealed to me.
Am I honestly missing anything? I figure I'm probably going to die soon, and I'll
never have played a Kirby game. And I seem ok with that, am I wrong?

You're ok? If you don't want to play a Kirby game it's fine for me, i don't actually care.
