The first video game you remember playing?

I remember my cousins playing Final Fantasy IX on their PS1, the music was what caught my attention the most at the time, because I didn't understand that it was a game, turn based games didn't make sense to me at the time lol

I was born before video games existed...well what we call video game. I did play the electric football game when it first came out. Though i didn't play the first video game of tag, i did pay pong or whatever it was called. So old, but ive played so many games throughout my life. I'm blessed.

i think it was like a flash game or one of those preinstalled games on windows 98 cause i remember playing something on the ol beige box. the first game i have clear memories of is nintendogs cause my mum got me a ds around the time that game came out

I used to be obsessed with the old Flash games on Albino Black Sheep & Newgrounds...good times :D

I think ‘Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land’ emulated on a psp. My mom (my dad to some extent but not nearly as much) introduced me to gaming, so I started pretty young. Thus it’s hard to say it’s just been so long.

Wish there was a happier Kirby emote....so I'll use this instead!

I think the only game I actually played when I was young was either Resident Evil 2 or Crash 2 for the PS1.

What a game. I only completed it for the first time last year. Funny how cutscenes like the one where a dealer gets one of his dope fiends to clean his trap house curtains went right over my head as a youngster xD

If you haven't played it, definitely check out Grand Theft Auto Advance. The story is far more involving and complex then it has any need to be.

I was a kid.... and... if I remember correctly... I was playing with Russia, because the team has strong guys. They were my favorite....

The earliest gaming memory I have was playing Freedom Fighters on the GameCube. I didn't watch anyone play games until I was a teenager and started hanging out with a friend who played Red Dead Redemption, a title I had never heard of on a console I didn't own. He also introduced me to Halo and Dead Island.

I must have been 4 or 5 years old and I remember the dentist had a Popeye arcade machine in the waiting room. I remember playing it, but I don't remember using quarters. Which makes me suspect that I just jostled the controls around while watching the demo mode play, like a toddler does.
I also remember Pac-Man being in a lot of places.

Home console? I remember my friend got an NES and we spent all day playing Super Mario Bros. in his living room. His parents were even taking turns. When somebody finally made it to King Koopa in the first castle, I remember thinking it was so cool that there was a fire breathing dragon in the game.

I remember playing sonic 2 on a video game parlor where you pay to play for 30 minutes, 1 hour when i was a little kid. I didn't know how to play, i was playing as tails in co op, and one thing i found memorable in this day is that i ended up pissing on the floor, but thankfully the owners didn't find out it was me lol. later on i played gun smoke on a nintendo clone called Turbo game, first game i owned.
