What i had as a kid.
Allow me to rebuttal:lol fair enough. I can see the desire to have Peach portrayed in her traditional role as the damsel in distress if you were expecting the movie to stay faithful to the original concepts of the game, but Nintendo has been slowly moving her away from that trope in an obvious attempt to cater to more female buyers, I mean fans ;)
That said, is it really that big of a deal that the character is evolving to a more prominent role? What exactly is the issue of these characters being more resourceful and demonstrating that?
As for the trailer being female character focused, I'm sure they have plenty of data that shows the well established and overall positive view of Mario as a character in general, but they may see data that shows the average audience don't know much about Peach other than she is the character Mario always saves. Its very likely younger female audiences, who have already been exposed to more stronger female characters over the last decade, may not be as interested in Peach if she was portrayed in the traditional damsel in distress. This is all speculation of course, but its clear that the trailer is focused on capturing more female audience attention.
Posing questions like "well why even have the Mario Bros if she is so powerful?" is rather silly when looking at the movie as a whole. Its a fictional world, why not? They don't have to explain anything in such granularity because its never meant to be taken that way.
When I was younger, I cared less for the live action segments and was mostly interested in the cartoon. But now, I would love a 90s themed live action sitcom of Mario and Luigi played by Lou Albano and Danny Wells inspired actors with some competent writing (and less "celebrity" cameos) and even more soundFX pulled from the games. It'll never happen but one can dream.

And what...?Yes. And.
For some reason, even if you were told or shown how to do it, pulling off glitches like this in your favourite games is honestly an unmatched feeling. And this is a really good one!I just did Minus World for the first time!
I’ve loved SMB 1 for years, yet I’ve somehow never pulled off this glitch.
Bruh same. I recently modded my Wii too and now I can't decide if I wanna play the first one on the Wii or on the switch (Super Mario 3D all stars) >.<I played Galaxy 2 to 100% but I still have Galaxy 1 on my backlog. I need to play it soon.
That would honestly be fantastic. I'm not even super big into Zelda, but I'd watch thatA Zelda movie deserves the visuals of the Dark Crystal and Legend
An edited version of this same artwork appears as the cover to the infamous “All Night Nippon: Super Mario Bros.”, which is a special Mario 1 variant with enemies and objects reskinned to be parody versions of the show’s contemporary cast.Never seen this artwork before but I love it! (Yoichi Kotabe - 1986)
I love that there's a Blooper behind the wheel

It’s one of the most significant promotions Nintendo has ever done with one of their properties, possibly so because this was so early in Nintendo’s run as an overall game maker that they were more loosey goosey with IP usage. Though, they kept a close working relationship with Fuji TV for a long time afterwards as well, leading to some Fuji related Satelliview content if I’m not mistaken.

Unrelated to the last post, I agree about the artwork. I freaking love it, and I miss these kinds of goofy celebratory images! It gives me similar vibes to this classic Mario commercial from the time.
Aren't Miis based on the same thing that inspired those caricature faces?Woah they almost look like proto-Mii's!
