That course is literally hell. I actively try to avoid playing on that course. I was very angry when it returned in MK8.
It’s also visually unappealing and besides being very frustrating, it’s also boring.

I never liked Mushroom Gorge growing up. Maybe because, when I was a kid, it was one of the few MKWii tracks that required a little skill, which I lacked::coolmines

Oh definitely N64 Rainbow Road. Agonizingly long and there is nothing interesting going on it at ANY point. The whole thing has guard rails too so you can't even risk falling off unless you're intentionally doing weird stuff.

Off the top of my head, I gotta go with Mario Kart 8's N64 Rainbow Road. What were they thinking with that one? The entire race lasts a minute. ::eggmanlaugh
They were making it quick and painless compared to the original version lol.

I don't know, try getting 150cc trophy on Rainbow Road on SNES prepare for pain. Dry Dry Desert for GameCube boring with really annoying hazards. For Wii learn delayed drifting tactic.
Also this latest speedrun record for Rainbow Road on Wii

The original is definitely bad as well. Way too long of a track. But the MK8 remake went too far in the opposite direction. You start to race and boom, it's over. This makes it stick out like a sore thumb in a game that otherwise has great track design. Why not two laps as a happy medium? You could even argue that three laps would be fine with the massive overhaul they already gave the track. I'd stick with two though. Very bad call from the devs on that one.

Isn't 3D World's formula more or less the Classic formula, except in 3D space? Linear levels with secrets, and a linear world map with secrets.

My favorites are SMB3, 3D World, and 64, so I'm torn on which one to vote for haha

I prefer the Galaxy Formula, i like the small and subtle progression sensation you are given by clearing one ny one the target

Super Mario Bros Mini was quite interesting. Makes me wonder why Deluxe was made with the screen crunch.

If I had to pick one it would be either 2 or 4. I haven't played anything beyond 5 so I can't really say about them

Mario Party 3 as it was the only one I owned and played with my friends and family a lot. My best friend had Mario Party 1 and 2 which we used to play at his house back in the 90s before he committed suicide in 2014. Mario Party 2 in particular as well as playing Hexen reminds me of him. Melee too. Last game we played in fact. He had his younger brother with him. His bro was shouting in my ear to distract me so he could win. My friend won and it was so damn funny.
