it's kind of surprising, now that i think about it, that there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of sonic cartoons. i can only think of about 3. he's much more suited to cartoons and movies from what i've seen.

There's 6. SatAM, AoStH, Underground, X (my favourite), Boom, and Prime.

AoStH is short for Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog. It's the show with Sonic says.

okay. i keep mixing those shows up; thinking that they are all just one series. i've seen people reference the sonic says bit, thought it was from satam.

SatAM and AoStH are completely different shows that aired at the same time. SatAM had a darker tone with a proper story, and AoStH was a Looney Tunes clone.

Generally people like SatAM a lot more for its darker tone and story.

Adventure Sonic is between Classic and Modern.

I could agree with that but Sega officially calls Modern Sonic the one from the series since 1998 with the first Sonic Adventure.

We can still argue about Sega's choice but regardless it's their character.

Maybe the whole Classic/Modern may not make sense because even Pac-Man and Mario got a design evolution in 30-40 years and 2D/3D doesn't define them either when we got to see Classic in 3D in Jam and R and Modern in 2D with Advance and Rush...

I liked Sonic The Wallpaper that was given with Sonic & Knuckles Collection on PC.

The Japanese version is by far the best, while the American version is the worst. The biggest mistake was using the music from the American version. I’ve never understood why— as far as I know, it’s the only Sonic game, or even Sega game, to have different music, since the following games didn’t go down that path.

A legit part of why I enjoyed Frontiers so much. I genuinely enjoy how his fishing segments mix-up the pacing in Adventure 1

I see it like this:
The Japanese original is best to listen to outside the game.
The U.S. one helps enhance certain elements of the game’s world (making the scenario seem more dire and important than originally shown).

Neither is bad. Neither. But I think the JP one has exploded so much because it’s just a great ALBUM. If you haven’t played the game before, or haven’t played much of it, you can still love the music. Whereas the U.S. one is tied to the game more closely, so it’s harder to get into.

Play Sonic CD. It’s a fun game :3
