Maybe using some pixel art, a little bit more akin to the site's theme, would be a good idea? Really not sure if that'd be possible, since custom-made art can be expensive. But it'd be a welcome addition.

I cut the size in half and doubled it again.

Edit: after looking at this for a little bit it's not great. Probably needs some correcting. I could give it a shot if you decide you don't want to keep the current one.

I wasn't happy with the quick edit I did to sad Kirby. The eyebrows don't really work without the crying because if you look closely at it, he looks a little angry. I made him a little rounder and sadder looking.
