Yeah, I can see this is a genuine conversation.
There is no "law of verbal traps" that compels me or anyone else. (Mr Mxyzptlk notwithstanding) You're really just gonna have to accept that other people don't agree, and try to have earnest conversation.
I've been here for a while and I haven't seen any power tripping mods so far, so why worry about it? I'm pretty sure people who regularly post here and make positive contributions would get warnings if they step out of line. Waffles has been very proactive in setting boundaries and letting us discuss risque stuff.
I don't really see the need to discuss woke and DEI in a game forum because what is there to be said that hasn't been said already? And most topics become an instant flame war. People are entrenched in their side and even those who want to discuss a topic usually just want their beliefs to be validated and don't want to accept any evidence to the contrary (I speak from outside experience. I've seen it so many times in Reddit/Gamefaqs/etc...). I would be wiling to entertain the idea of these types of discussions but most of the times they go south quickly. There's a reason most game forums avoid topics like religion and politics.

My point exactly – there's no argument to what I'm saying beyond "the moderators disagree with you on an ideological level, so get over it, prole". Don't you understand how that might harm a community? Can't you see where I'm coming from, now? What if the roles were reversed? (I already know that's a pointless, cliched thing to ask, but it makes sense.) This is my problem, and why I think so many forums in the past have descended into either ghost towns or utter tripe – and why I'd like the RGT to not go down that path.
Again, if I'm most likely going to stumble onto your bad side sooner or later, why not get just it over with and permaban me now? I'm sure you have the button, and I'm sure you'd love nothing more. You won't, of course, because I'm a noted member of the forum, and even my silly joke tagline about being banned has spurred loads of people mourning my supposed absence.
But maybe you should...? It would make your life a lot easier.
Anyways! I'm going to keep posting whatever I want, including detailed criticism of DEI, culture wars, left-leaning politics, and whatever else I care to, secure in the knowledge that I'm too popular to suffer any consequences. Wasting my time? Why should I worry? Even if you (or any other mod) do threaten me or remove what I post, I'll go over your head to @Spike directly, who'll agree with me, anyways, and reverse or lessen any consequences. I love being evil!
You know... we could have closed this topic 150 posts ago, but we kept it going out of genuine curiosity for what the community felt were their biggest concerns.

(OK, reading this back again, it seems kind of dismissive to my fellow users, which was not my intent at all, but seriously – just don't remove or ban stuff you disagree with if it isn't breaking the rules. This is what, the 10th time you've claimed you're popular? It's a forum, people can speak for themselves, you haven't embodied their collective will like Full Frontal or something.
