Of course, I’m not disagreeing with you at all, but kids aren’t idiots. My main point wasn’t the demographic thing as much as how every single ”generation” of cartoons has had actual bottom of the barrel dogshit, and medium-defining super hits.

Adults will always dismiss kids cartoons for the dumbest reasons imaginable. People who were adults when EEnE and other cartoons of the time were fresh thought they were brainrot material because it was loud and crude and dismissed it for it. Just like how people later on dismissed Clarence because it had ”le calarts style” or ambiguously brown...

Never even heard of it, but I'm one of those frauds who reads about certain media much more than consuming them. I'm always open for new stuff though, it might just take time until I sit down and watch it haha

In short theres a detectine in nyc in the 50s, he's from brooklyn he'll let you know, he meets an eccentric client who askes him to find a missing man

The movie inspired stuff like the religious aspect (alongside many other movies) and especially the Loud Fan thing and the big hopeless dark twist at the end

Alright, sorry I missed that. I see where you’re coming from, the show was very clearly inspired by anime. I think it’s closer to shoujo anime, like Sailor moon, Revolutionary Girl Utena (pretty sure there was direct references to it) and Magic Knight Rayearth then Dragon ball?

Owl House I agree, Amphibia she just straight goes super sayan when a friend seems to die, they dont really add anything to make it distinct to Amphibia is just super sayan

It's a shame cause season 1 where it was just frog adventures with some action I did like, Anne was fun

i think that stems from the commercials that aired before the premiere. i disliked the show solely from that. i was like: "just show up already!! this commercial aired times already this commercial break!!!!"
then i saw a few episodes, and i liked it. it's a bit awkward, but it's the start, so i cut it some slack.

Also think they’re more educational in the emotional sense, also helps fuel the creativity of the children watching. I don’t think "shonen for pussies" could hurt, if the children watching like what they see it could encourage them to seek more. I’m personally trying to use one of my friends love for Owl House to get them into some of the classics

I've been to the states many times, in 2018 it was my 5th time NYC so I decided to watch Cartoon Netowk in its own country just for fun, why not

Gonna be honest, i wouldn't touch bluesky with a 100 foot poll, besides the fact it's became a echo chamber of one side's political ideals (echo chambers aren't fun, best part of twitter is anyone can call you out on something), but mainly, the massive amount of a certain type of illegal pornographic material being on the site makes me avoid it like the plague (and sorry fans of bluesky, anything that's letting THAT be there should be shut down imo).

adam from yourmoivesucks watched that with 2 of his friends. they had some pretty funny jokes. it has been the only time i've ever seen footage of that movie.
