Oh, you dweebs are back in your cartoon swamp, HERE'S ONE FOR YA.

I thought the first season of Smiling Friends was pretty much immaculate, but the over-reliance on "real-talk" jokes ruined a HUGE part of the second season to me, even though that season probably had my favorite episode, but the jokes fell flat way more often.


I never finished OK KO but I hear it sort of lost steam pretty early on and had an identity crisis? I really liked the cute artstyle though.
Never seen SU, but I'd probably like it more now than at the age when it was current. My brother was a pretty big fan, iirc.

home movies had a similar problem. the first season had a lot of improve stuff that was animated over and the other 3 seasons were more scripted. most people liked the first season more than the others.

So I've heard. I've only seen the first season and I loved it. Only seen snippets of the rest but it seems okay, but definitely different, I like the wobbly artstyle of the first season way more, too.

I'll just get around to watching it myself. "I don't remember much and as far as I remember everything was generic" isn't a lot to latch onto.

Asking the question of "Why did Netflix and Dreamworks make this while Cartoon Network cancelled Infinity Train" is also not a great closer. They're diff companies with diff business models making diff things with diff appeal.

I do remembetr the plot, what I mean is the characters and how the story goes were boring af; the story's basically there was an apocalypse that turned the animals into giants and intelligent anthos and the main chara is like a hybrid that can turn into a giant and theres a faction of humans who wanna get rid of the intelligent furries

I know one was CN one is HB, it wasn't a real question, more like of a "Why whyyyy!!?? DX"
Thugh if you wanna compare em they Do have the same demographic in mind more or less

the whole series is on youtube for free. a lot of people put it on for background noise or when they are sleeping. it's a very chilled out show.

Though it is a distinguishing style choice throughout the show, for sure. Male characters are more top-heavy, while female characters tend to be more bottom-heavy. A sort of hyper-stylization of stereotypical proportions for humans in general.

I personally can't really see how these would be considered hot moreso than just cool, unless you were like 13 when it aired. The style in general is fantastic though, I love how simple and stylized it is, and lineart is so cool, I really like how fuzzy it is. One of the best looking cartoons of the 2010s.

you should check out some fan art. ok ko aired on cable tv so there were limits on what they could show. i think it was implied that enid and red action might have had a thing for one another. and lee left out the best example: enid's mom.

The new movie is more accurate than the old one, in general.
But you should still watch the old one because it’s a David Lynch film and if you like Silent Hill you should watch everything he has ever made
