I hate them. Megaman unlimited in particular looks like the worst thing I’d ever play.

I was gonna suggest Megaman X Online Deathmatch and Megaman 8-Bit Deathmatch (very different despite the names), they're top-tier as far as fangames go.

Oh no those are doom mods. I don’t consider them fangames in the sense I was thinking. Those are fine.

It's so true to the original, the resemblance is uncanny; the game even  feels like you're playing the Super Nintendo games.

Well my point stands. My initial opinion was about the single player platformers. I cannot speak for the quality of multiplayer games as this is a genre I do not play.

Not like it matters, the game's offline now. There's still solo play and you can set up multiple CPUs, but it's not the same as fighting someone with any kind of skill level.

Yeah that’s my point. Even with bots, a multiplayer game is the same at its core and comparable to a single player platformer.

I miss it, man. I got to let out a lot of anger because of that game.
But then it made people let out a lot of anger on me; in the form of kicking, banning, flaming and harassing me. All for being good at a game. ?

No, because, again, it was never stated χ -kai- is the cut female X-Hunter. It's just as possible that his existence as a character was inspired by her, without him being her.

Like I said, it's just more hard-headedness with no clear evidence backing it. I'm leaning on the 'some guys just hate strong female characters' argument. Don't see why it's a big deal otherwise; after all it's kinda my thing, not theirs.

Like I could get if I was trying to argue Bass as female or something like a mainstream, well-known and established character who's gender has already been set in stone throughout the series, but.

This is a cut character from a game from the 90s: why argue over what gender/position they were intended to be? Unless it's the folk from Capcom themselves I really don't care to discuss it any further.

This is a game i should finish. I need to give roguelikes a chance one day.

Well, it's like.

Say you find a character you really like, do all your research and determine it's a good representation of yourself.

Then 80% of the fans of the series involving said character want to sit around arguing how it's  not.
