At least it's a question of memorising the layout but yeah it's a challenge to take. You know that a level/segment would be hard if it haves a vanishing block section
So... is it like Sonic Boom with self references and making jokes about the franchise and the fanbase or is it something else?Binging the entirety of Mega Man: Fully Charged in a few days might not be the best decision I've ever made.
Seriously, this show was given an entire playground of toys to play with that is Mega Man, and it threw most of them away in favor of mucking about in dirt.

Am I stupid or I never noticed that Rockman has a different logo type in the west? Like I knew that Mega Man and Rockman were two different names for the series but still.Rockman logo in Mega Man western style is something that i didn't expected to see

All from a chinese-exclusive PC compilation of Mega Man 1-6
Is a official licensed compilation distributed by Ubi Soft in China and yes, they put all the 6 NES games on a single disc but 1 and 2 use the japanese ones. I think that they use the english translations also but changes all the "Mega Man" instances with "Rockman"Am I stupid or I never noticed that Rockman has a different logo type in the west? Did that compilation had MM1 and MM2 or they went for III to VI?
I see that Mega Man 8 is the very first entry to go back to the Rockman style logo (with the red downward triangle)

I still think MM9 should've gone like that

Not fan of the XI one as I would've made the "XI" much bigger and grander (and 3D to match with the game being the first in 2.5D).
This is crazy that it's a Capcom made franchise yet was distribued by Ubisoft in China when Capcom Japan could've done the same since they're right next but I guess that China's apprehension about Japan is why they went for another company. Is a official licensed compilation distributed by Ubi Soft in China
This reminds me of Korea having tokusatsus with the name Power Rangers despite being a dub of the Japanese version.I think that they use the english translations also but changes all the "Mega Man" instances with "Rockman"
Also to highlight that in the NA boxarts the logos were highly inconsistent since it always changed from a game to other and reemplaced the roman numbers with arabic ones.
I still kinda like this consistent logo and wish they kept it even to this day. From World 1 and 5 onboard, the logos used one that stayed consistent until X3 and later they used the japanese ones but "Megamanized" or create their own logo.
Capcom also gave the Mega Man license to chinese companies around the time of that PC compilation (Late 90's and early 2000's) you have the Rockman Strategy and a eduteinment math game with Rockman X.This is crazy that it's a Capcom made franchise yet was distribued by Ubisoft in China when Capcom Japan could've done the same since they're right next but I guess that China's apprehension about Japan is why they went for another company.
Looks good not gonna lie, i guess that Capcom wanted more fidelity with the japanese Rockman and for that the Mega Man logos use (mostly) the japanese ones since 8This reminds me of Korea having tokusatsus with the name Power Rangers despite being a dub of the Japanese version.

This has always been a dilemma with Japanese franchises getting a different name and/or logo for the west.Looks good not gonna lie, i guess that Capcom wanted more fidelity with the japanese Rockman and for that the Mega Man logos use (mostly) the japanese ones since 8.
I feel that this can be a interesting thread topic but i think that was taken. This has always been a dilemma with Japanese franchises getting a different name and/or logo for the west.
Biohazard/Resident Evil is another Capcom franchise that kept the two names (unlike Square Enix going back to Dragon Quest for all regions starting from 8) and they unified their logos with the Japanese one since Code Veronica (I think)

I almost prefer RE2 and RE3 on the PSX having wildly different looking logos before every modern entries since VII getting the same font and color code...
In Europe they chose the safer end with the same font and cover (which is superior imo yet I prefer the US logo)

Addendum: so I see why they stopped doing it post-Nemesis
Yeah, sorry for digressing to Resident Evil (I still chose another Capcom IP from the same era as MM8 to better illustrate it).I feel that this can be a interesting thread topic but i think that was taken.
The first one is pretty iconic but the second looks nice as a modernization of the logo, i'll stick with the second one.Yeah, sorry for digressing to Resident Evil (I still chose another Capcom IP from the same era as MM8 to better illustrate it).
By the way, do you prefer MMX having a vertical layout

Or the horizontal, full word one?

All robot masters are like that apparently, i guess that is a localization choice.I'll probably sound stupid but why Mega Man is two words when it could've been one?
Both are cool but the latter looks slightly better to me with the red triangle behind it. I might be biased due to my love of X4.Yeah, sorry for digressing to Resident Evil (I still chose another Capcom IP from the same era as MM8 to better illustrate it).

I prefer the later because I feel that megaman should be said like a single word and not "Mega Man".
The XI start screen definitely needed more work. While the majority black background and simple design gives nes vibes (not a bad thing in itself), it doesn't really go with the game. And that "XI" is very out of place and just lacks finesse. No angled font, no shadow, and the red is a different colour to the red in "MEGA". It feels like a quick draft mock up that never got revisited.Am I stupid or I never noticed that Rockman has a different logo type in the west? Like I knew that Mega Man and Rockman were two different names for the series but still.

I can't blame a fan art who did it for free so I don't criticise too much but the angle would've made it better. The XI start screen definitely needed more work.
