Yup that’s her alright.
Honestly before I played MMX I thought that Sigma was somewhat a Magneto kind of villain wanting equality for reploids.Reploids look human so they're going to be male and female looking robots. I really wish the X series dove into the concepts of reploids and fleshed them out as to why they were designed to be human-like vs the mavericks that all look like beasts and insects.
I mean they're all reploids except X and Zero, because X was the foundation on which all reploids were based, and Zero is a direct creation of Dr Wily who predates reploids. Mavericks, known in Japan as irregulars, are simply reploids who are acting in violation of what's expected of them and typically sabotaging, breaking, or threatening things, usually on account of some corrupting influence. They're pretty much all animal reploids aside from the special bosses because beast men are easier for making a threatening, visually distinct cast of boss characters. I guess I should also mention mechaniloids, which constitute a bunch of the really inhuman, simple X series robots with nonsapient AI like the giant bosses of the intro stages, most stage minibosses, and a good chunk of the regular enemies. They're not reploids either.Reploids look human so they're going to be male and female looking robots. X4 was close to this. Repliforce wanting it's own nation, not to harm humans but to be free of them. Sigma pulling the strings from behind the scenes to destroy both, also to make zero suffer, and he succeeded with the latter.Honestly before I played MMX I thought that Sigma was somewhat a Magneto kind of villain wanting equality for reploids.
I know that it's a simple story but robot rights could be a subject tackled by the franchise because of Asimov and how robots are making us reflect upon ourselves.
This is correct. You people are thinking too hard about this. Robots have genders because it makes them relatable to the audience.
I could see that.I personally think machine "intelligence", even if it reached near human consciousness, will never have a desire to procreate, because it will be self aware enough to know that they aren't human.
I could see that.
And I do think that machines will never ever be truly human, they are soulless machines after all.
We can create art, that's enough.Humans are also soulless (biological) machines, so I don't see any difference.
We can create art, that's enough.
Either way maybe reploids could create their own society but won't ever be like humans.
Anyway, I think this entire conversation is off-topic. You should wrap it up before I start yelling.
Well... there aren't really any humans at that point in the timeline. Just extremely humanlike synthetic persons who seem to suffer fewer consequences from extreme body modding and/or be able to integrate prostheses into themselves with less trouble. To add to that, Rock Volnutt is simply regarded by his family as a boy they found in the ruins.I mean there are a few hints of love interests throughout the mega man games. The Megaman Volnutt and Tron thing just goes to show that differentiating robot/ human doesn't really matter in this universe.
Yes you're right. He isn't a robot in that game and they're both synthetic life forms.Well... there aren't really any humans at that point in the timeline. Tron isn't aware that he's anything different. All she sees is a very good boy.
As an aside, the only superficial distinction between reploids and humans in the ZX series is a mark on the reploids' foreheads.
Mind the canon age unless you're reading fanfic.Yes you're right. He isn't a robot in that game and they're both synthetic life forms.
There's also ciel and zero, I think there was a spark there.
Haha I didn't know that kinda stuff even existed, not really my thing. I thought the zero and ciel romance is hinted at in the games... The age is irrelevant no?Mind the canon age unless you're reading fanfic.
I mean she's age-inappropriate for just about anyone. Granted, that hasn't stopped fanartists, and it's been a good long while since I've read any MMZ dialogue.Haha I didn't know that kinda stuff even existed, not really my thing. I don't know about that, she's somewhere between 14 to 16. And zero has the appearance of an adolescent. It works fine imo.I mean she's age-inappropriate for just about anyone. Granted, that hasn't stopped fanartists, and it's been a good long while since I've read any MMZ dialogue.
Everything about x8 was a mistake. The navigators I’m neutral on, however.Where do y'all stand on the X8 navigators?
