The Mario series is usually known for its jaunty high energy, somewhat cheerful songs. But the Mario series has some harder, heavier stuff scattered in there. Usually in relation to Bowser. What are some of your favourite heavy, darker or hard rocking Mario songs. These are a few of mine.

The final boss theme from TTYD sounds more like a song from the Mother series rather than Mario.

Super Paper Mario has some music that sounds like it came straight out of a horror game.

One of my all-time favorite final boss tracks.
