Mega Man Zero mentioned! The best Mega Man series! The NES games can be skipped if you're not enjoying them. Try:
7 on SNES
8 on PS1
X1 to X3 on SNES
X4 to X6 on PS1
Mega Man Zero 1 to 4
Try for yourself and see what you like, I've grouped them into categories that are similar

I respect this opinion, and quite possibly agree... If not for my soft spot for X series and legends. Zero series is phenomenal.Mega Man Zero mentioned! The best Mega Man series!
Yeah these too! They're just a bit of a downgrade from zero series imo. The map system frustrated me quite a bit so I never got very far. What about ZX and ZX Advent?
Shaming with low ranks / rewarding with high ranks. Depends how you look at it. But I get you.I think the Zero series sucked and was no fun at all, forcing players to learn off-screen attack patterns and shaming them with low ranks when they're not able to no-damage run the game.
i am interested in playing mega man x8
i recall playing it a little, a long time ago, and not liking it
however, i have heard x8 is not that bad
it may be that my strong dislike for x7 is clouding my memories of x8
This is true which is why I stopped caring about ranks altogether. Ranks don't matter at all in Zero 1 but they do in Zero 2 & 3. Thankfully it is easy to get good ranks in Zero 4. That's one of the main things that Zero 4 vastly improved from the previous games.I think the Zero series sucked and was no fun at all, forcing players to learn off-screen attack patterns and shaming them with low ranks when they're not able to no-damage run the game.
My hot take is that Zero 2 is best for having the forms, and Zero 4 is better than 3 for having the ability to steal weapons (which is what Megaman is really all about anyways). This is true which is why I stopped caring about ranks altogether. Nothing is more metal than ripping out your opponent's limbs and using it as a weapon. Also I really wish the forms from Zero 2 came back.My hot take is that Zero 2 is best for having the forms, and Zero 4 is better than 3 for having the ability to steal weapons (which is what Megaman is really all about anyways).
I think I got a perfect rank in the recycling center mission on original hardware once. This is true which is why I stopped caring about ranks altogether. X8 is drastically better than X7. But not sure if that means much as X7 is utter garbage. It's certainly playable.i am interested in playing mega man x8

I've seen people suggest that 8 has the best design and overall presentation of Sigma in the entire series.X8 is drastically better than X7. But not sure if that means much as X7 is utter garbage. It's certainly playable.
His ghostly form is pretty cool in 8. But overall felt like he's becoming a relic, compounded by the fact he wasn't even the final boss.I've seen people suggest that 8 has the best design and overall presentation of Sigma in the entire series.
Do you feel as if they're the worst of the many aborted plot threads/unidentified character fates in the time between classic and the X series?[deleted]

Maybe Tron Bonne or Roll... I'm not very good at remembering the characters from the series outside of the original series.Time to break out the big questions...
Who is best girl?
I simply ended using this (much more better) map and never looked back, once this wasn't a problem anymore I could enjoy everything a lot more.I respect this opinion, and quite possibly agree... If not for my soft spot for X series and legends. Zero series is phenomenal.

Advent is too linear in comparison, the hunter's camp is just a hub world for the stages and those are only connected until the oil rig (even 4 of them are completely separated from everything and only accesible through the transerver menu)
