Mega Man Megathread

To be fair, everybody at Capcom are human, the last time I checked. It only makes sense the devs would project their "humanness" onto robot characters, no matter how little sense it makes.
LMAOOO, yeah fair point.

Speaking of robots being functionally human, I find it hilarious, in a sad sort of way, that by the time of Mega Man ZX the solution to the centuries of war and conflict between man and machine is to simply make them exactly the same.

Zero is pretty tragic yeah. I haven’t made it far into zero games but i know the final antagonist is such an a-hole, his dickness exceeds both wily and sigma combined.

I don't know how far into the Zero games you are, so I won't spoil the main villain's identity, but he's definitely one robotphobic/Reploidphobic piece of work.

Reploidphobic huh. Yeah I plan to get further into zero and Rockman dash eventually. Might actually even write about them. (Though if I do, it’s gonna be a more casual article. I felt pretty worn out from last time).

Tip for the Zero series: don't be afraid to use Cyber-elves if you're struggling. The games are designed to be replayed multiple times for 100% completion.

Thank you! Given that this is Uncharted territory a few tips are welcome.

You might find this page useful, as well. It contains some more general gameplay tips with no story spoilers.

Also, was the capitalization on "uncharted" intentional?

Ahhhh sorry about that, it’s just an issue with my phone. It would be pretty random if I referenced the Uncharted series out of nowhere.

much obliged!

Holy Spaghetti balls, someone said it. Wholeheartedly agree.
First of all the pharoah shot is awesome and idk why no one ever talks about it, its like a Genkidama Sphere you can use as a shield and then you can throw a second one in 4 directions! The other ones like rain flush, skull barrier and dust crusher arent bad either

Great intro

Great weapon unlock screen

You get 3's mobility + rush making rockman much more agile, the charge shot doesnt make the weapons redundant like 5 and its situational and fun to pull off, backrounds are fantastic, music's good, good stage gimmicks like the darkness in bright man's stage, dive man's stage that lets you make good use of either the rush marine or other power ups. the doctor cossack castles both look great and make you use many different power ups same then theres the wily stages on top of that. Creative wily castle robots..

You know, Western Mega Man fans are so busy making fun of MM8's English dub they don't even talk about how Mega Man and Sealand from Hetalia share a voice actress in Japanese.

And they never mention it sounds good in jap and the fantastic animation and intro, I really miss when they'd hire animation studios to work on games

And as bad as the english dub is its the only one where they actually made Rock sound like a kid instead of a nasal preteen

Hetalia jumpscare

On a far less scary note, both Bass and Link in N64 Zelda games are voiced (for a given value of that in Link's case) by Nobuyuki Hiyama, which I think is pretty cool.

DOes he also do em in Marvel vs Capcom 3?

Um, who are the "em" you're talking about? I'm a bit confused.
I meant "im" as in Zero

fun fact btw zero showed up first in Capcom vs Snk, his gba version to be exact
