Least favorite game on a franchise you love.

I can name some other very well done db games, all of the card game ones are very tecnically impressively for the famicom and the the ds one that got an international release its pretty fun ; and then Dragon ball orgins on the ds and the wii one are also great and look about as good as you can make a db1 game look
Yeah, I was hesitant to mention that I thought a lot of DBZ games sucked; mainly because the card-based ones were usually fucking awesome.

I'll add to that the switch port of the recent card arcade game, I tried it and it was also rad ::beer

I think you already mentioned the rpgs but man did you know Attack of the sayans was probably gonna have the movies??

Wow, those look super fuckin' good!
This is my first time seeing 'em, definitely gonna have to look into both of those!

Attack of the saiyans is unironically my favorite ds game like ever and top 5 dbz games
I had no idea the card game was on switch!

DS and PSP were a goldmine for dragon ball because everything that came out was as precious as bulma's panties, a lot of variety too. The psp Shin Budokai games are also neat for doing alternate universe stuff as its main story

The switch one is based on a sick arcade cabinet that used to be jap only, a rare new arcade port. Also it uses the budokai 3 engine

But just so I dont complelty go off topic:

>Buy this after Soulcaloibur 3 was one of your childhood games and you love it to bits
>Barebones story mode
>Tira my best girl sounds like a cat getting his balls stepped on
>Zasalamel does jack shit
>Next to no unlockables and story mode
>No unique fighting styles for characters you create
>Bland artstyle and stages
>Bland music
>Fuck this game
>Only saving grace is Ivy got even thicker

Zasalamel was one of my better fighters in 3. Not my top 3, or even my top 5, but definitely in my top 10. 👍

But I never played 4. I'll just take your word for it.

I think I tried 5 once. 😅

If you played 3 I can go into more detail:

Next main story where its like reading an adventure book with that delightful map and music and multiple paths and decisions that have an effect on the match, its essentially 3's Quick Battle with an ending

Bland ass final boss and final stage

No multiple choice endings and they dont have all those unique 3d maps made specifically for it

No chronicles of the sword

No awesome and weird secret enmies and bosses

Almost no extra modes

All create a soul characters use the same fighting style as the main cast no funky ninja assassin fan sickle etc

No stage thats tied to a characters which means characters no longer have their own themes

Greatly nerfed character profile (just text and no stage bio)

Forgettable music for the most part

No colors because its the ps3 era baby

Tira sounds like she inhaled a tank of helium and banged her head against the wall for 30 minutes

Why not spit in my eye and take my car keys while you're at it

Also I'll never forget buying Tekken 6 at full price and the stupid thing took 3 times longer to load matches than 5 while looking the damn same

Wow, that sounds ridiculously bad!
I don't understand why they would implement features like fully custom characters and Chronicles of the Sword just to tease us with a game that doesn't have any of that greatness.

I guess Namco really hates their fans.

From Edge to 3 they kept adding new stuff and then it looks like namco barely cared anymore, 5 is even more bare bones and straight up doesnt have zasalamel and fucked the story so badly 6 rebooted everything from scratch.
And still it was clearly a budget games even if I apreciated the effort of stepping away from 5 (skeletal stages and modes). No news on a new soulcalibur since ::dodgy

So basically
Don't play Soul Calibur after 3 😂

Oh, Broken Destiny on PSP seemed aight though. I usually only play it because I can use a nude patch, then base an outfit around being nekkid underneath layers of clothes. The idea is; enemies will catch a glimpse of nudity and become distracted. It worked for Jackie Chan in Operation Condor. >_>

Based

It uses 4's artstyle which I dont like but for the psp its a damn impressive game that's perfect for training on the go, plays near identical to the console ones

As a matter of fact, I don't like Link's Awakening at all. I've never played the remake, but the original is a bland, boring affair with an awful case of control pile-up and a pace like an apathetic walrus. At the time, Nintendo should have just let Capcom do that one, too.

More gorse negativity, love to see it 🙏
Next you need to bitch about mint chocolate, HATE THAT SHIT

god soo many different opinions and controversial answers :3

Love to see them. Also i was gonna add on another of my favorite franchises: Pokemon (my signature says it all). I Really disliked Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, and also really didn't enjoy Sun and Moon. It depends on the season which one i dislike more soo i had to mention both 😅

Paper Mario: Sticker Star: i know i'm beating a dead horse at this point, but Sticker Star is still one of the worst games in the Mario Franchise, and just like Devil May Cry 2 it completely removes everything that made the first three games great and, overall it's a completely empty and soulless experience. At least Color Splash and Origami King are much better than Sticker Star, even if they're not as good as the first three games.

My shit take: I hate Pokémon.
Please allow me to explain before you judge; when I was young, my younger sister often watched the TV show before going to school; this is before the games and card game blew up into what it is in America, back when it was still very new in the states and hadn't gotten a lot of media attention; back then, only the nerdiest kids liked Pokémon, and it wasn't cool to be nerdy or into video games at that time. That said, I've always been in a kind of proxy to Pokémon as a series.

Found out you could not get Pikachu and I became immediately disinterested; some years later, I heard about a game you could start with Pikachu as your main starter Pokémon, so I changed my tune and decided to try it.

After getting to Mt. Moon and getting 3 gym badges, I was devastated to learn that you needed to catch other Pokémon to use HMs and learn abilities to pass obstacles, and that was when I gave up.

...Or was it? No, a temporary failure, but I decided to perservere, and got all the way to.. Volcano place of some sort, I don't remember the name. Only that I had 7 badges before I quit playing the game entirely. I think it was because I wanted to teach Surf to my Pikachu, and didn't feel like putting in the effort to catch a water Pokémon it would work on.

So, my first attempt at Pokémon was of me trying to solo Pokémon Yellow with a pikachu. I've never really looked at the series the same since. I still think about it now and then, but then I realize that there's millions of games I could be playing and having more fun doing so.

But it's not even all that which made me despise Pokémon; it's the fanbase.

Thank you for coming to my rant.

i mean is fair to don't like something for having a bad experience with it. I have a similar experience with Naruto of all things. Soo your rant is welcome :3 (also yes fanbases can be annoying and distract you from the media, but i prefer to ignore them for my own sake xD)

Ooh. Which Naruto
I don't consider myself a fan or anything; I gave it the 100 episode challenge, where I watch 100 episodes and if I  still want to watch it, I'll finish the series. I did  not finish the series, but the Haku arc was worth watching.

So I only fw Naruto Ultimate Ninja 3 on PS2.

Oh and
I meant to mentioned that I  continued to solo with my Pikachu, only catching other Pokémon for HMs for travel purposes. 😄

Soo yeah i tried to get into Naruto because it was like the anime that my friends watched and they had like a lot of Naruto games for the ps2. I think that game that you mention was one of them. But between the fact that i know nothing about the characters, that i sucked at those games and that i had to share the tv with my sister and never got the chance to truly watch the show. I just didn't get into it.

But i may give it a fair chance someday...

cinnibar island is probably the place where you stopped. it's a volcano island in thejhoto games

and that pikachu is the only one in the game and it is possible to teach that pikachu how to surf. you need it on your team in pokemon stadium and complete the Prime Cup MasterBall tournament in Round 2. you can teach it surf or fly.
