Tokyo Beatdown while having a lot of heart with its story, humor, and characters, I find average overall and is not worth the asking price on the second hand market. Especially when better 2D and 3D brawlers were coming out after it came and went.
Vice City and IV to a lesser extent was the last time I ever cared about GTA in any capacity.
Saints Row IV, while better than III, doesn't really hold up on a second playthrough. Not to the extent of the first game, but I never felt the need to go back to the game again.
Welp, It's all in the title ya see. Share some downright horrid takes and opinions.
I'll start...Errm...Uhhhh...
Marvel VS Capcom 2 is one of the most overrated Capcom fighting games; let alone for the genre.
While the mechanics can be enjoyable, I personally just don't enjoy the flashy, over the top sky launching combos of the VS series in general. And although the slight brokenness of the game is fun for most, I personally find it more tedious than anything. View attachment 8352
On the other hand I see a ton of people praising San Andreas almost all the time.
Is Vice City really overrated? I mean I understand people liking it for the 80's aesthetic without having watched Scarface nor being interested in 80's songs outside of the game but I don't see it getting as much praise as San Andreas despite being a love letter to the 90's.

Saint's Row IV not having a "New Game +" nor allowing you to replay the major missions is one big flaws (same with The Third to a lesser extend).
It's a big shame how Saints Row 1 never got a proper (and functional) PC port and updating SR2 to be more stable on PC (I liked it but damn I hated seeing it crashing almost all the time during cutscenes).
They really should've added the options from SR2 that weren't translated into The Third because of the engine change (like downgrading your guns, replaying older missions or even being able to grab any chair or furniture to hit or throw at enemies).
I think Saints Row should've taken cues from the Yakuza franchise (while keeping the gang aspect) after IV/Gat out of Hell by reverting time.

San Andreas I do appreciate for its 90s aesthetics and throwback to hood movies, but from a game play perspective, my older brother and I found it really annoying. Having to manage your characters literal health and lifestyle is not fun and not what we came for. Saints Row 2 is pretty much the better version of what we wanted. Except it takes place in the lake 2000s. What was then the modern day at the time. I just know after the specific games.I was pretty much done with open world or crime sandbox games. Open world in general I do not like, outside of a few exceptions.
That's pretty much a hot take to them, and one that would upset many of them. Considering a majority of them playing nothing else, other than maybe a COD or AC.
I don't know how good current Platinum Games are and I'd like a spiritual sequel that isn't locked with MGS' storyline so they could have more liberties.

A lot of Platinum are new young bloods, and surprisingly, they're doing good. Especially for first attempt and handling a different action franchise. They also did that little hack n slash mini game inside of Metal Gear Solid 3 Delta. I do have faith in them.
I always hated Amanda Waller as a character since day one. I only knew of her existence because of the Justice League cartoon. Each incarnation of the character worse than the last and gets more morally corrupt. Always making pathetic excuses for her actions, or act as if she has a point some the time. There's nothing really interesting about her, and she's nothing more than another government stooge, with some power/assumed power. I find her boring and I really wish WB/DC would stop using her.
After playing these games from back to back, I still say Dobule Dragon Revive is better than Rushing Beat X, but both are good games. RBX is more so decent, and has some kinks to work out, but how juggling and combo cancelling work, is freaking immaculate. That is something it does have a bit mover Revive. So far, these are two most fun modern 3D brawlers to have come out and sets them apart from a lot of the pixel brawlers out now. RBX does have a better art style than Revive, but Revive's I don't find bad. A little under cooked in some areas, but not bad.
Playing hard games on Easy is fine especially if the game doesn't do a proper balance between difficulties, even when they do, not because you are having fun on Easy means the ones that play on Normal or Hard aren't having theirs
The more time goes on the less I like double jumping in games.
Sure, it's a common ability/upgrade but it also means you'll be making platforms higher for the sake of inciting people to use it instead of a proper level design.
Wall-running, wall-climbing, air dashing, lunging (like the Long Jump Module from Half-Life), fluttering in the air (like Klonoa) and many other techniques are much more interesting both from a gameplay, level design and player expression standpoint.
I have no problem with the new 007 game taking influences from Uncharted. Uncharted has not had a game in over a decade now, and there hasn't been anything else like it since then. So this really shouldn't be an issue for a majority of people. Unless you've literally been playing all these games every single day, then, I really don't see the point of this being a net negative. Even then, that's on the person for doing that in the first place. First Light is clearly still doing its own thing, and has any gameplay features that are definitely not Uncharted style and fits with the character. I'm just happy it's gotten first person. That was done to death already.

I keep seeing comparisons with Uncharted is it only that cargo plane escape sequence? Cause that was taken from 007 already. Is the fighting similar to Uncharted?
