Eve is the superior Square RPG villain. Rufus is scary in his own right, but still small potatoes when compared to somebody like Eve. He couldn't do much against her, even if he wanted to.

That makes sense. Both are from the exact same era in the 90s. So some similarities are going to show up, and that was the style at the time.

Gunfire doesn't hurt her much, unless you are specially Aya Brea. Eve can regenerate fast, or it doesn't hurt her at all. Especially if it's just regular gunfire. The only exception is a possible nuke, but you don't want that.

Some people are already complaining about the Neo Geo reprints "costing too much". Seriously? SNK could have gone higher, but that price is practically a steal in today's market. It will be the be the cheapest console on the market. I am not invested in getting this, but I would happily pay $250 over a $900 "PRO" console. Better than a Series X, if you have not acquired by this point. I can already see a bunch of people buying these. I don't know how much the cartridges will cost, but probably between $40-$60. We'll see when we actually get there.

This is part of the reason some consider them dangerous as they have the potential to stunt your mental and social development.

Make sure it's not your only interlocutor and you'll likely be fine but that danger is something people should probably keep in mind.

Giga Skullmageddon from Double Dragon Neon is a better Super Shredder final boss fight than the actual Super Shredder from Shredder's Revenge.

Killer Is Dead is peak No More Heroes style combat. Yes, it's more streamlined compared to No More Heroes 1 & 2, but NMH3 is more streamlined than KiD. KiD gives you much a larger move set, 3 types of counters (1 that can be upgraded), and combat is much faster.

With games like DMC5 (when playing as V), Astral Chain, Bayonetta 3, and Path of the Goddess existing, it's pointless to bother playing or going back to Chaos Legion. Unless you're a hardcore fan of IP, a PS2 nut, just love early 2000s gothic anime art style, or all of the above. Granted, I didn't like Astral Chain either.

SNK's Sengoku 3/2001 is a much better game than the first two and has great combat, combo, and juggle mechanics, but I don't like it much. The game lacks enemy variety; especially in its early half, and levels tend to drag when playing on harder difficulties. The level design is not all that great either with the soundtrack doing the lifting. If you're coming off AVP (Capcom), Battle Circuit, or the even the spiritual predecessor to S3, Gaia Crusader, it feels lacking to all in comparison in some way. Enemy variety (even Final Fight and the Streets of Rage has more of that), level design, or speedier combat. Not that Sengoku 3 isn't speedy, but it takes a lot more time understanding the combo mechanics, as a lot of the inputs involve a bit more fighting game style mechanics most first time players will have to get used too.

Zenless Zone Zero should've been a single player action game. Fuck the rpg mechanics and the gacha mechanics. This is a game begging to be single player. There are aspects I like, but there isn't enough to have me stick around.

You can add "soulless" to the meaningless buzzwords list as well. It means nothing more than "I hate this game for being new/modern or a remake". It's gotten to the point, that these assholes are trying to come after certain indie and AA titles, but the devs from those respective areas are telling the schemer bitches to fuck off, or ignore their bullshit all together.

I find Dante's Infeno better than God of War III.

It's why I prefer smaller gaming review channels like Cvit, Civvie11, Noisiy Pixels, Combat Orverview, etc. They never, ever put these in their titles or have more much creative taglines.

Console gaming exclusivity needs to be broken by government with public domain enforcement and time limited protections on hardware designs. Reverse engineering, clone hardware, and waiving any option to claim piracy should be expected after 20 years. All software older than that should be free to port to any current platform that wishes to host it.


Elon Musk should buy up western game studios, take them private, and fire all the BlueSky users as the ultimate internet troll maneuver. He should join forces with MBS to make new Neo Geo hardware to take on Playstation and help squeeze the industry with more AI driven development.

I personally believe no one ever bought or played on a Neo-Geo anything. Besides those red arcade cabinets you see in some shitty cleaner. Everyone just larps as if they had one of these bollocks devices. A waste of money and has like 5 games even worth touching that can be played on consoles or an emulator that has better game selections. People will swear up and over that the games run better, but Metal Slug still lags till this day on their OWN hardware. Absolute circus level idiocy. The wonderswan lasted for 4 years and has a better library then whatever SNK console they bother to make with the same 3 genres they only touch.

There was a rich kid in summer day camp who brought over a Neo Geo a few times with some games back at St. Scholastica (was in Detroit, but closed down in the late 2000s) around 1996. One other person, an adult counselor, brought over his Neo Geo CD once. My older brother and I were able to play both. Though most of our Neo Geo experience was in the arcades.

Death Battle I never liked. I am glad they broke away from Screw Attack and Stuttering Craig, but their show is not good and way too repetitive.

I have a feeling Dead As Disco and Tenet of the Spark will be better than SIFU.
